  1. Based on the serial# and photos we're going to vote that it's a counterfeit. Note that the serial number (06121968) would indicate that it was stamped on the 612th day of 2001...hmm Do go ahead and send the photos and details on where it was purchased from to service@gibson.com and we'll review further.
  2. Hi, these are legit and nice timepieces but are not quite up to the “fancy” level as the one posted by Rabs. These were part on a one-time purchase and distributed by our Gibson Gear division roughly 8-9 years ago.
  3. Hi, yes the M2M program is going strong and is available through any authorized Gibson Custom dealer. Some of our US Custom dealers below can help; https://www.themusiczoo.com/blogs/news/gibson-custom-shop-made-2-measure-center-at-the-music-zoo https://wildwoodguitars.com/product-category/electrics/gibson-custom-shop/wildwood-spec-made-2-measure/ https://www.chicagomusicexchange.com/collections/gibson-custom-shop
  4. Identifying a particular model/variation can be difficult, please post all of the following information to assist with identifying and/or dating your instrument. A complete description including the serial number and any other information written on or inside of the instrument. Please note that the serial number alone cannot be used to identify or authenticate your instrument. Any information relating to the known history of the instrument. Photos of the instrument - please post full front, full back, close ups of the front and back of the headstock, serial number (if not on back of headstock), and any inside label that the instrument may have. If you prefer not to post this information on our forum, you may also send this information to us via email at service@gibson.com - please make sure that the total file size of the email with photos is 2MB or less. Any emails larger than 2MB may be rejected by our mail server. This is not an appraisal service - for information regarding the value of your instrument, please consult a used instrument pricing guide or contact a used instrument dealer in your area.
  5. Is the model code possibly "LPTDMSVCH1"? If so, this would be a Les Paul Traditional Mahogany top Satin Vintage sunburst finish with chrome hardware. Model codes don't always make perfect sense when translated, but I hope this helps. If that's not the model that you have, feel free to send me the serial # via private message and I'll check it out. Thanks!
  6. Attention Ultra-III and Ultra-339 Owners! It has come to our attention that a small percentage of “Les Paul Ultra-III” and “Ultra-339” guitars have entered the market equipped with pickups that were incorrectly produced causing them to be “out of phase.” This issue is observable with the toggle switch in the middle position. With both pickups selected (middle toggle position) the output will be weak with a mid range emphasis. In the other toggle positions the output will be normal. Additionally, sometimes other related symptoms can occur as well that resemble improper electronic grounding. Great measures were taken to ensure guitars equipped with these pickups did not enter the market place. Unfortunately, our efforts were not entirely successful. However, we do believe that the numbers are very limited with the majority of them being Ultra-339’s. As always, we stand behind our products 100% with our Limited Lifetime Warranty and will repair or replace any guitars found to have this issue. We work tirelessly to provide you with the highest quality guitars available and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you believe your “Les Paul Ultra-III” or “Ultra-339” has this problem do not attempt to repair it yourself. Please contact the authorized Epiphone retailer where you purchased the guitar and arrange for a repair/replacement immediately. If you have any questions or concerns or need further assistance, please feel free to contact our Customer Service department. 15. it is very heavy, unbalenced, and has bad upper fret acess on the 6 string neck but i wouldnt trade it for the world

  18. I had EMG's in a Jackson RR model years ago... ( 81/85 ) They sound very powerful, but in my opinion they sound best for that aggressive rock sound. Dare I say metal? I read a quote a while back... "Batteries are for flashlights, not for guitars"
