  2. Not keen, prefer a real one. Sorry, it's be honest Friday here in the UK.
  3. Don't reckon I could cope with the narrow nut but I could sit and look at that guitar all day long.
  4. Denim blue makes me think of Cat Stevens, oh very young. "Fading up to the sky and though you think they'll last forever you know they never will and the patches make the goodbye harder still". Oh my beautiful youth, where did it go?
  5. What really was music to my ears was, "never been drilled for a second strap button".
  6. I'll stick with the J15 if we're talking walnut. Ciav's seems to like a 15 anyway. What are Gibson playing at.
  7. I have a 2010 model that I came across on eBay. It was a very nice price too. It has a bit of buckle rash on the back and a small ding on the front lower bass bout, very near the binding. It's a honey burst, just. There is barely any difference between the burst and the centre, but it looks very nice. It's by no means a loud guitar but the tone is smooth, like a good malt or pure maple syrup. The pick guard has been a pain, lifting at the front points. I tried holding then down with small pieces of double sided tape but that did not last. Eventually I bit the bullet and took off the scratchplate and refixed it. I have to say, even though I followed many hints from YouTube, it was still a pain in the arris. I wanted a hummingbird for years, this one will do nicely.
  8. Sir, sir, sir please sir, when will you do your marking, sir?
  9. Soundhole. Undersaddle. Mic. Soundhole.
  10. After some very friendly messages to and fro the seller has removed the guitar. He has a small shop and tells me he took it in part exchange in good faith. Says he's going to check with Gibson re serial number. I will keep an eye out for it coming up as a HB artist! Thanks for feedback guys.
  11. But not a hummingbird, as advertised.
  12. Sorry I can't print a picture or an item number but there is a 2005 hummingbird for sale on eBay uk that somehow looks odd. The pick guard does not look right - too big - and the shoulders don't look square enough. I have asked if it has original pick guard and been told it has. Can anyone else take look? It's listed at £1775. I'm just intrigued!

  14. This popped up on my YouTube subs/account/feed. I thought is that two or three Sal's but was unsure. What a great rendition of a Bowie classic. Brilliantly sung and played.
  15. I live in a terraced house in a street near the centre of an old town in South Yorkshire. My garden-yard is about 13ft by 13ft. It's big enough to seat 6 people round a table. It's my garden room, surrounded on one side by the house and on three sides with green hedges of various plants. It's a sun trap, faces south west, and my cousin refers to it as the enchanted garden. When sitting in it you could imagine yourself to be in Italy or France or Spain. I'm away from home until tomorrow so cannot post any pictures, but I will, promise.
