I’ve had two snarks break on me the same way just this week! I was actually gonna head over to guitar center this morning to get another. But, now that I see others having this problem, I may get another brand. I’ve always liked Snarks. The quality must have declined.

I got one of the first J-15s released. I still have it. It is a great guitar. I'm glad I got it when I did.

Get well soon!

I like the Sparrow, pickguard and all. Well, almost, I prefer short scale. I have a J-200 and some Martin's, but have been mainly playing my Hummingbird and Southern Jumbo. I think the Sparrow would be a nice addition to the herd. Lol!

I love the Roy Smeck guitars. Fairbanks is especially sweet!

I love everything about that guitar.

Really good, I like it.

Good luck!

The ye olde hoary topic of the differences between Gibson and Martin...

Great post! I would have to add a Kopp and/or Fairbanks. -
That's the ones right there!

Or just cause trouble.

Very subjective! I left the bridge pins on my J-15 on. Actually, all 5 of my Gibson acoustics still have the stock pins in place.

Why is this Morkolo dude such a ****?

Pick out a good J-15 and don't look back!

"Not so fast my friend." Lol! Good one.

It's a known fact, as long as you are telling the truth, you can say what ever you want. Being polite on top of being truthful is for wussies. Being a badass on the internet is where it's at.

J-15--still popular or flavor of the month?
Slinky1 replied to Jesse_Dylan's topic in Gibson Acoustic
My J-15 is 100% stock, except for the truss rod cover. It may seem silly, but I prefer the white border on the truss rod cover. Easy and cheap adjustment. I absolutely love the "Batwing" pick guard, but probably will not change it on the J-15. I kind of have a thing for tuners and pick guards. -
J-15--still popular or flavor of the month?
Slinky1 replied to Jesse_Dylan's topic in Gibson Acoustic
I still love my J-15, and will never sell it. I do think it is as good as a J-45, I consider it a walnut J-45. my J-15 gets regular/daily play along with my J-200 and Southern Jumbo. I love them all. Maybe I'm lucky, but am delighted with my Gibsons. I see you have enthusiasm for the J-15, me too. I would like to hear what other J-15 owners think after having them a while. I did change the truss cover. I would like white ovals on the tuners. Probably won't change the pick guard though. -
Hey 7enderbender, pay no attention to marty1940, he got issues. The other folks who responded know their stuff. Sal, Hogeye, BlindBoy and Modoc are good folk. For the record, I look forward to Hogeye's posts. Sorry, didn't mean to leave out the Reverend, he seems to have a killer J-45 Custom.

Did somebody say 2015 Southern Jumbo 12 fret? Lol! I've been hacking away on guitars for 25 years or so, not until I got my J-200 back in 2007, did I realize what I was missing. Not just the J-200, but high end guitars in general. I was hooked all over again. Totally in love with my J-200. Fast forward to 2015, the SJ12f gave me that feeling again. Man! What a guitar! Totally smitten with this new one. I hope I'm not getting addicted to high end guitars. Have I become a guitar nerd like you guys? Lol!!!

I use D'addario EJ-17's. I've tried the EJ-16's, they seem too thin on the J-200. It seems the J-200 needed a little bit more string to bring out the full potential of that fabulous guitar. I love my J-200.

It does look really good. Nice job!

Man! Gibson Vs. epiphone, I know everyone hears differently, but Dang! I've had both, epiphones are ok, no comparison to Gibson. Sounds brittle and cheap.
