  1. I have one of those Epiphone Specials in yellow. I got the one with the P90s though and love the sound. The price was so cheap that I upgraded the tuners and now it is excellent. I don't care if it gets any good money when I decide to sell it. It's great!
  2. I put Dan Armstrong pickups in my Casino. They sound great and DO have the chrome covers.
  3. I need a pick guard like that for mine. Can anyone make one and sell it to me?
  4. Wow! That's beautiful. I have the same guitar in yellow and really want to do what you did. Will a Gibson Les Paul Special pick guard work or would I have to cut it? I'm terrible at that kind of work and I don't have tools. And how about repositioning the switch? You had to hollow out the back of the guitar? I can't believe I found this post. I've been dreaming about making my guitar look exactly like what you did!
  5. Thanks everyone. The tuners for the A and D string actually slip a bit so I'm gonna get the new ones.
  6. I don't think the link I just posted to Stewmac works! :-(
  7. Will these fit into the MIC Casino? http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Guitar,_solid_peghead_tuners/Grover_Tuners/Grover_Vintage_Deluxe_(136_Series)_3+3_Tuners.html?actn=100101&xst=3&xsr=456272
  8. I just noticed the replies. Thanks everyone. Spamonkis - the Casino I have is Made in China 2010. The Grover vintage deluxe 136 series will fit right in? I don't know if there is a difference between the MIK and MIC versions as far as drop in replacement sizes. Anyone know if the tuner spacing and holes are the same?
  9. It's time to replace the tuning pegs. The stock ones slip and are just generally cheap. My Casino is a 2010 MIC standard model. Anyone know what are good replacement tuners that would basically drop into my guitar? In other words - that would fit without having to do drilling, etc. Thanks
  10. Or even if the holes have to be enlarged - I'll probably take it to my luthier anyway. I'm just interested in what brand (Grover, etc) you guys think is best. Also, that are pretty much the same space between pegs for tuning ease. Also, not sure about tuning ratios??? Are the higher ratios (like 18:1) more stable (not sure how that works). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  11. I think it's time to put better tuning pegs on my Casino. Mine was made at the Qingdao Plant (Epiphone), China December 2010. Does anyone know what pegs would be good replacements (without having to drill new holes into the headstock)?
  12. Scott - here ya go (good price too)! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kent-Armstrong-Pickups-Chrome-Dog-Ear-P-90-Set-for-Epiphone-Casino-/251506521650?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item3a8ef4f632
  13. Also, they're direct drop-in replacements. They fit right in.
