  1. I think most people would rather save two THOUSAND dollars and not care if their inlays are not pure white....
  2. The simple solution is to put Gibson pickups in the Epiphone! I bought an Epiphone ES339 and dropped a BurstBucker 2 in the neck and a BB3 in the bridge. $400 for the guitar and $260 for the pickups. $660 for a guitar that IMO looks, plays and sounds just as good as the $2600 Gibson 339.
  3. It all depends on your taste and what you like to play. I much prefer the 57 Classic and BB Pro in the Studio Pro to the rather weak sounding 490s in the Studio. I just bought a 2014 LP Special semi hollow body with the 57 Classic and 57 Super pickups last week and my 2012 Studio 50s tribute with the 490/498 has been sitting in a corner collecting dust. I like the bluesy AC/DC and White Stripes kind of sound, so the 57s are awesome IMO. All depends on what you like. Oh and if you play metal, why don't you just buy an ESP LTD 1000? Cheaper than a LP and MUCH better for metal.
  4. I just got mine yesterday and love it, best LP I've ever played. These are limited edition NAMM guitars and only select stores will get them. They are selling for twice the street price on EBay and Craigslist, so if you want one and see one at your GC, better grab it.
  5. I just bought one today, its the best LP Ive ever played, including the Standard and TRAD. Its the perfect LP for me. Lightweight, awesome 57s with coil tapping, fast playing neck and awesome tones. Love it.
