  1. Ever buy the same guitar 3x from selling it, buying it again, selling that, buying another again? This guy. Even worse I’ve done it twice—with Casady bass & with Emperor hollowbody. Some people learn the hard way. I’m going to keep them. This time the Emperor is a peerless & the Casady has a beautiful brown back.
  2. With epiphones—Casady, Emperor—no mods. Remove a pickguard maybe but no major changes besides strings. With Fender style, mod to no end.
  3. Want/need a slab top LP for modifications experiments. It's a hobby of mine. Or stop screwing around, don't waste time and money--just get the 56 goldie.

  5. scored a like new (we'll see about that) casino + case for 250. I needed a 6 str electric, didn't have a lot to spend & checked around online before pulling the trigger on a rondo guitar. good thing. what to expect? not that there aren't enough casino threads on here. no need to change pickups right? i'm a fan of p90's. might do flatwounds on it but prob not.
  6. Beatle bass strings made for that bass shape/scale/bridge leads me to believe you can't simply use any string. Bad. http://www.bassstringsonline.com/Hofner-Beatle-Bass-Strings_c_101.html
  7. yaaaaa but L4 is kinda maybe a step up maybe This gtr def causing my to play/study more. Cheers
  8. This guitar shines w light touch wow can't get over it. & the TI's are stupendous. Stupendous.
  9. That's a heavy gauge--too tense for me. Too late now but I wonder if I should've switched the forks back to the original way.
  10. Something to note for 3-point bridges the two back columns should be lower than the one front lest they slip out. Tension will keep the back columns in place.
  11. Thanks. I left them as they are and put on new strings. I really like these Thomastik Jazz Swings (11-47). Very lively, good mids, good clarity.
  12. I'm guessing here: the forks as I have them increases tension on strings 4-6 but what's that do for tone? Tighten up the bass?
  13. not exactly pimp i swpped out the tuners for these & it balances better. Even w/ a big guitar strap I could feel the neck tugging on my shirt furthermore I dislike the 3.5" strap going into my neck. If you don't mind exposing old holes and making new ones (I don't; mine was used) then I suggest this.
