  1. Does anyone own one of these? never heard about granadillo wood??.. how is it compared with the J200? http://www.gibson.com/Products/Acoustic-Instruments/2016/SJ-100-Walnut.aspx
  2. I just received this guitar as a trade. I spent some time playing it yesterday and Wow, really deep sound, great for fingerpicking, I have been thinking about a Martin M36 but I still can't decide if I should sell it to get that M36.
  3. Thanks for the advice, I will give them a try, Just love the warm tone without boxiness of rares
  4. It looks great!! that's a dream team.
  5. Hey there, I was using Elixir HD on my J-150 but I recently changed the saddle to bone from Bob Colossi and everything changed (more sustain and loudness) but too bright for elixirs. So after trying different martin strings I ended with DR rares and WOW!! great tone!
  6. Thanks for listening! God blessed us with talented people who loves Him. Guitar, Keyboard and Cajon and 3 background vocals.
  7. This could be interesting for some of you guys: This is the recording of our Praise and worship this Sunday. Skip to the Min. 4:30. I was using the following: Vocals: Blue encore 200> TC Play Acoustic (I don't use the harmonies, I use the hit button for a delay sometimes) Guitar: 1st song:2006 Hummingbird> Lr Baggs lyric> Mooer yellow comp> Strymon El Capistan> Strymon Blue Sky> TC Play Acoustic (Body Rez off, it doesn't work with the lyric) For the songs 2,3 and 4 I used my J150 with Lyric System, the rest is the hummingbird again. https://soundcloud.com/cas
  8. Hey there, I just installed a bone saddle from Bob Colosi and bone pins from Stewart McDonald on my J150 and Hummingbird and wow!!big difference, they are back to life. I can not believe all that was missing this time. However, I was using elixir strings with both and was sounding too bright, recently installed Martin Acoustic SP PB and it sounds even better, more balanced. I don't want to change strings every 2 weeks, so is there any option on coated strings other than Elixirs?
  9. Elixirs Phrosphor bronze lights sounded great on mine, I never liked Addarios.
  10. What's the deal with this?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Gibson-Hummingbird-Acoustic-Guitar-/181601107459?pt=Guitar&hash=item2a4844fe03 As far as I see is just a standard Hummingbird that worth no more than $3100 brand new.
  11. I was at GC last night and tried the Marshall AS50D love it!! sounded way better than the loudbox IMO, the reverb was really nice!
  12. Thank you for sharing! After watching some videos of Company of thieves I am seriously considering using a mic infront of the guitar. I have a SM57, Sennheiser e609, Audio Technica AT4050, and 4047..I refused to do so because it is not very common and because I move when I sing a little. But not so much. If you watched the video of EuroAussie (very good!) I do not move more than that.
