I saw a vintage one on Reverb with a Bigsby B7. It weighed 5.5 lbs! Super light!!!
-
Wow! What a difficult question. IMO it really comes down to the actual Guitars you play of each... If you can go to a Big City Store there may of each to compare.. Who knows which one will sound best to you... Gibson LP JR’s are awesome Guitars... Tough choices!
-
Look up what they sold for. Not how much they’re asking... Then average out the sale prices.. That will give you a fairly good idea what you might get... Mark yours up a bit for haggling. But, don’t ask more than what they go for new.... You’ll be sitting on it forever...

How many of these Threads that ask, what kind of Amp? or what kind of Guitar?, actually follow up & say what they got?
-
If it was used it would be one thing but being brand new it’s unacceptable.. Unless, they want give you a huge discount.. Like 50% off or more.. But, if it were me I’d want another one that’s without flaws.. Most are..

Congratulations! Freakin Awesome! That Guitar is a beauty! I’m sure it plays & sounds like a dream Curious, how much does it weigh? Enjoy!
-
Why don’t they move the old Threads to the Archives? Is it like a joke?
-
Check EBay & Reverb Sold Section.. It will give you a good idea..

For that Humbucker Guitar I’d really consider a Fender.. A 65 PRRI, 65 DRRI or the new Pro Reverb would make that Guitar Sing! If it had P90’s I’d have said Vox AC15 or AC30....

Obvious, screw up.... Just hope no one looks at that or buys it & expects Royal Tan to look like that Guitar... -
Is it a 2021 or maybe an NOS that may have been around a few years? I have played a lot of new Fenders with rough Frets.. Very common.. But, not with Gibson & Epiphone.. They’re usually finished quite good.. In any case return it for a replacement... Why go thru the hassle.. It’s a new Guitar!

New Slim Harpo "Lovell" ES-330 OR USA Epiphone Casino Vintage Sunburst?

I don’t get the Slim Harpo connection.. I mean he was cool but compared to Keith Richards, George Harrison, John Lennon & Paul Mc Cartney? I guess it depends on the music you love most... -

Wonder why they showed that one? They’re sharp enough to know the difference.. And there are Pics of Royal Tan.... Which is what I have on Order... -

That’s not the Royal Tan... They are lighter in color & have Nickel Chrome Dogear Covers.... -
Ever cry while singing/writing your own song?
Larsongs replied to Roach's topic in The Gibson Lounge
When my Mom passed away I wrote a Song titled “Another Day”, I cried the the whole time.. I still cry when I play it.... -
Check out the new Pro Reverb Amp. That is on my list right now...

I bought a new ES-175 in the early 2000’s. Great looking Guitar! They didn’t have MHS then.. I’m not sure which HB’s? Regardless, as much as I wanted to like that Guitar it just didn’t have a great sound for me... I had LP’s, Casino’s & an ES335 already. I ended up going a completely different direction and got a Rickenbacker 360 12 String.. Which I really like! I do have a recent Gibson ES Les Paul Black Top with MHS Pickups that sound excellent... Worth the wait...

Bummed about new US-made Epiphone Casino features
Larsongs replied to fazeka's topic in Epiphone Electrics
Can you guys make out the Serial # on the Headstock from the Pic on Sweetwater? Is it the same as Fazekas Imgur Pic? For years Gibson & Epiphone Websites have been notorious for not having up to date Pics & Specs.. Are we positive this is any different? I think we’ll know when we actually have one in our Hands... -
Yes, If you’re doing more than recording with Digital... Although, you could run a Line 6 Pod thru the PA... I’ve done that before... I didn’t care for it but the SS Sounds were no worse than anything with the new Tone Master Amps IMO....
-
To own the Tone Master Amp my ears need to be more broke... Ok if you play soft... They are better but still sound harsh when you push them.... Currentply I’m seriously considering the new Fender Pro Master Tube Amp. 40 Watts, Celelestion Neo Creamback 90 & weighs 32 lbs... And sounds great! Best of both Worlds... Light weight & Tubes..
-
As for recording, if you want digital, just use the Plugins that come with your DAW. They’re just as good.. Save your money. You don’t need an Amp.
-
Excellent points.... I agree.. Although the new Fender Pro Reverb 40 Watt Tube Amp at 32 lbs. is making it very tempting for me for both Studio & Live...
