  1. I have a 3-4” wide Gibson padded Leather Strap that isn’t that fancy but is ideal for most Guitars. Especially my Les Pauls...
  2. Don’t you need some type of Pedal board to engage the TM Amps FX while playing? My Pedalboard is like a small Briefcase.. No hassle... I also prefer the Sound of certain FX Pedals over other Pedals. Not all are equal. Also, many modeling Amps FX don’t sound as good as quality Pedals.. Degrading the Sound even more.. To my ears... My reference to the shrill harsh sound when pushing the SS Digital Amps with dirt includes the Tone Masters... They’re better but I still can’t listen to them for more than a minute... I guess I’m just too used to the warm sound of Tube Amps...
  3. I used to do that but when you push those SS Digital modeling Amps with some dirt they get so shrill & harsh sounding compared to Tube Amps it hurts my ears.. I have small, medium & large Fender & Vox Tube Amps.. And a few others. They work well for most any Recording or Gigging situation & they sound great soft, medium & loud.... Low end Gigs & Jams I use small Amps & mic them if necessary...
  4. It just doesn’t nail the Tube sound.. It’s better than most but it ain’t there yet for me.... It still has the shrill SS sound to my ears... Not the sweet warm Tube Sound... If you play soft it’s probably fine.. But, why would you want a Twin if you’re gonna play soft? A Tube DRRI or Princeton would be better IMO. I just see them going the way of previous modeling Amps & guys will go back to Tube Amps....
  5. I don’t use it that much either. A little bit once in a while. The reason I suggested a Bigsby is between my 3 Casino’s the ones with Bigsby or Tremotone have improved sustain...
  6. I agree these are vastly improved over previous Gen Digital SS Amps or whatever one calls them... I would be curious how they would sound if you ran a Tube Pre Amp Pedal in line between the Amp & the Guitar?
  7. You need to buy a 100 Watt to be equivalent to a 30 Watt Tube Amp. 50 Watt for 25 Watt Tube Amp & 25 Watt for 12 Watt Tube Amp. I like the lower price & lighter weight.. They’re good looking but I still think they sound shrill. I’ll stay with my Tube Amps..
  8. Congrats! Casinos are super great & vesatile Guitars! Excellent choice. USA Gibson P90’s if you can find them. Next choice Fralin or Lollar P90’s. Switchcraft Jack & 3 way Switch. A proper B-7 Bigsby.. These mods aren’t too expensive & will turn it into a Tone machine! Let us know how it turns out.. Best of luck..
  9. All you need is $$$$$.... I’ve got a few rollin around in my brain that I’d love to have someday....
  10. Check this out... https://www.themusiczoo.com/blogs/news/gibson-custom-shop-made-2-measure-center-at-the-music-zoo
  11. There are some creative Guys here! Great ideas..
  12. I really do look forward to your comparison review of the real vintage 57 vs the Reissue... The wagon is a great idea!
  13. The next question, how do you do a comparison with someone who owns an actual vintage 57? While they’ll maybe look similar I doubt they’ll sound similar. Even if the specs are as close as possible...
  14. When buying a Guitar I want the whole package. Materials, Craftsmanship, Looks, QC, Sound & Playability. Otherwise, over time, the magic wears off & it ends up living in its Case... Then I sell it & get something better.. If you don’t totally love it don’t keep it.... Get something better..
  15. If you bought it new & think it’s a defect you should call Gibson Factory Customer Service & file a Warranty Claim for Repair or Replacement..
  16. That is a nice model of Guitar but It is a Standard not Custom Shop. How it plays & sounds would be my criteria for that Price point Guitar..
  17. If you mean one side is raised uneven with the other that is not normal... Not in my experience with long term ownership of many Gibsons & Epiphones.
  18. There are so many Les Pauls! What are you looking for in a Guitar with regard to Specs?
  19. I really like that Guitar in Red! Would look great with a Gold Bigsby too!
  20. That looks like my V. I really like the Sound of the mini HB’s. Somewhere between P90’s & HB’s.. Totally unique & great Sound! The Steinbergers tune perfect on the dime & hold tuning really well...
  21. If you liked the Studio you should contact Gibson & get a referral to one of their Gold Star, or whatever they call them now, Luthiers & have it repaired.. Ask to see some of their Work & refererences of people who had their Guitars Repairedby them if possible... If you really like the Guitar you might consider having Gibson repair it or have a new Neck installed by them.. Pricey but it’ll be right & they'll back up their work.. Meanwhile buy another Guitar.. If you’re a working Musician, in normal times, you need at least a couple back ups.. I have at least 2 of my most played Guitars because you never know what can happen...
  22. I like all kinds of colors.. But, I have to say I like Sunbursts the most.. There are no 2 exactly alike. There are so many different Sunbursts.. Given it’s the Model you’re looking for or even if it sometimes isn’t when you see the one, you know there’s a very good chance it’s coming home with you if it passes all the tests..
  23. They can sound different if they all have different Pickups. The Necks can vary in dimension & shape, as well as the Frets, Nuts, Tuners & Bridges... Even if they’re the same model with same specs they can play, feel, look & sound different..
  24. So that if your Guitar Strap slips & you drop the Guitar the Jack doesn’t go through your Guitar.. Which happened to me at a Gig playing a J-160E.. It really sucked! It was unplayable. A Hole in the Guitar, cracked the Wood & needed a costly repair...
  25. I’ve recently watched 2 movies that I really liked.. Both with Jack Nicholson.. Chinatown & the Sequal, The Two Jakes... Great Gumshoe Detective movies..
