In Royal Tan with Chrome Nickel Dogear Covers. I'll add a Bigsby. I have 3 Casinos now. A Sunburst 50th Anniv. 1961 with Tremotone, a Natural Finish IBJL Revolution & a Sunburst Peerless with Bigsby.. All are great but have been wanting a USA Casino for a long time.. Like 20 years..

I have a 50th Anniversary 1961 RI Epi Casino w/ Tremotone. It has black Dogear P90's. I would like to put Chrome Dogear Covers on it. I want it to be reversible in case I want to change it back at some point. Is complete removal of the Pickup necessary? Or can it be done without taking the whole thing apart? I can't find any YouTubes for this... Thanks LL

Are the chrome Covers soldered to the mounting tabs?

Guitars are like Classic Cars.. Picture a really cool 57 Chevy... Now Picture it with a big Plastic Gas Tank mounted on top of the Hood.. That's what Clip on Tuners on Guitar Headstocks remind me of..... Some really ugly thing that makes that really cool looking Guitar lose its Classic Cool Look.... I know that's weird but that's what I see......

While I like the idea of an onboard Tuner I abhor the look of Snarks & the like.. I do use them at home but never when Performing... They are also cheap plastic & break easily... I'd love something less visible & built like a Tank....

I bought one a few years ago... I love this Guitar & the P90's as much as my other 2 way more expensive LP's with HB's... You can't go wrong with a Special with P90's... TV Yellow is cool too....

Sounds like you already have remorse.. Cancel the Listing... You can always sell it at a later time....

Have you Checked Reverb, GBase & EBay? Seems like there should be some put there...

I agree on the MIC Casino's.. About the only thing they need are better Pickups.. Like Gibson USA P90's... They should've addressed the Nut. Filing the slots to spec & or replacing it on the SG. 99% of the time that's the problem....

Underwound, if I recall, were on most of the mid 60's Casinos if that's the sound you're going for. If you can get USA Gibson P90's they are great... Switchcraft for Switches & Input. Not sure about Pots..

After being in lockdown mode for almost a year I'd like to take a 4 hour drive just to have an adventure! If the Guitar is great I'd buy it. If it isn't at least I had a road trip!

If exclusivity is a barometer for Guitars becoming more valuable Memphis ES335's exclusivity, since they are no longer produced in Memphis, must be increasing in value.. You can still buy a Nashville ES335... I watched a video re; the 59 reissue Memphis ES335. It has the extra slotted piece of shaped wood that's used with the Center Block... I believe they said the Nashvile doesn't have that.. Not sure if it really does anything more than to help maintain the rounded body shape on the back of the Guitar. They are beautiful Guitars... As are the Memphis 59's.. Would like to see more informative reviews about them also....
