  1. Good question.. There are quite a few 59 RI Memphis reviews on YouTube but not many 59 RI Nashville reviews? Not sure why?
  2. 50's if you like chunkier neck & PAF style pickups 60's if you like slimmer neck & hotter pickups.. My next one will be a 50's Goldtop with P90's & Bigsby....
  3. Nobody has a Crystal Ball. & can predict what will or won't become a valuable Collectable. But, it's not likely most Guitars will. For me the Neck & the Pickups are the main reason I buy a Guitar. Then aesthetics. I can't see the logic of spending $$$ on a Guitar & more $$$$ to mod a Guitar than it would cost to have just bought a better Guitar with the features I want... If it's not the right Guitar for you consider how much it will cost to mod it. Compare that to the Guitar you really want.. The money difference for the cost of your Guitar plus cost of Mods compare that the cost of the Guitar you should've bought... Chances are you could sell yours & for about the same total cost buy what you really wanted.. theres always the chance you do the Mods & don't like it any better... Then you go down that rabbit hole.....
  4. I miss singing & playing live too! I miss the electric feeling I get when performing... Meanwhile my band "The Fab-Tones" has been recording Covers virtually.. It has been a great way to play music with other people & quite a learning experience for me.. It does help sharpen your chops as it totally exposes your singing & playing abilities.. I think we'll sound much better live than we did before.. It's been good therapy & a productive way to endure the lockdown..
  5. My Sweetwater Rep told me this is the best year there ever had for Guitar sales.. I've also read this is the best year Fender had ever had...
  6. Congrats! That's a beauty! That looks like Tobacco Burst.... One of my favorite Bursts! Enjoy...
  7. GC's BK has been coming for a while before the Pandemic. It's not a result of Covid but poor business management. The Economy is booming for Housing, Cars, Guitars, Costco, Walmart, Amazon, Grocers, Facebook, Google & the like.. It's the Mom & Pop business' that are getting crushed.... The Dow just hit 30,000! The Nasdaq is soaring.... I imagine there are quite a few Companies that don't want the Lockdown to end...
  8. There are some great Epiphones & there are some great Gibsons.. There are also some not so great Epiphones & not so great Gibsons.. It's a totally subjective opinion to state that Epiphones are superior to Gibsons.. It's just one persons opinion.....
  9. IMO the Neck & the Pickups are the most important parts of the Guitar.. The Pickups you chose will get the Sound you want.. The Neck is subjective.. Everyone has different hands.. If you have friends who have Gibsons play theirs & research the specs of the neck s you like.. Then ask the Seller what the Specs are on the one for sale to see if it compares to what you like.... My advice; Buy it as cheap as you can.. Look at previous Sale prices on EBay. Buy at the lowest price possible.. If you don't like it, resell it.. And get another..
  10. LOL! First good laugh of the day.....
  11. I dig those! Have I got any more room?

    NGD!!!

    Very cool Guitar! Congrats!
  13. Ratio 2:1 30 Guitars & 15 Amps
  14. I always transposed rather than use a Capo.. Thought they made me look like an Amateur... I use them now, sometimes, just because it's easier... I'm still searching for one that, when clamped on, will keep my perfectly tuned Gibsons & Martin's in perfect tune.. Recommendations are welcome...

  16. I had a De Ville & absolutely hated it... It was louder than I needed & it didn't have a good Sound.. Some of the Fender FSR Tweed Blues Jr. with certain Speakers sound quite good.. Tubes usually outlast Fender Reverb Tanks.... At least in my experience with several Fender Amps.. I learned the hard way.. Took one of my Twin Amps to the local Amp Repair because the Reverb was making funny noise.. They replaced a couple Tubes.. Cost about $50-$60.. It seemed ok until I got it home... I researched Forums & it was suggested it was the Reverb Tank. Which cost $26.00... So I ordered a new one.. Took about a half hour to swap out the old & install the new one.. It's been perfect ever since... The old Tubes were fine but the new ones weren't returnable...
  17. A Reverb Tank is an inexpensive & easy DIY repair. You can usually do it in less than a half hour... While drinking your Coffee...
  18. Thank you to all who Served & Serve.... Our Family Cemetary is very sobering on days like this.. I'm reminded of my Dad, Uncles & Great Uncles, who Served in WWI, WWII & Korean War... They are no longer with but they are my Heroes... Also, my Brothers, Cousins who Served that are still with us & my Brothers in law who have Passed on. Also, my Son in Laws.. I am a Vietnam Veteran..
  19. Congrats to all 3 of you! Welcome to the Club! I got my 1959 ES345 back in the 80's. Wonderful Vintage Guitar! In 2013 I bought a new 2013 Sunburst Gibson ES335 Dot. Also a really great Guitar.... I know you Guys are gonna love those Guitars!
  20. I'm assuming you bought it new being a 2020... A local Repair Guy can't replace your Guitar if that's what is needed. But, he can screw it up so your Warranty could become void... Call Martin Customer Service.. Don't waste time with Email... Or if it's a Guitar you just bought you could return & exchange for another... Been there done that.....
  21. About 10 years ago I called Martin direct. I told them my 1975 D-35 which I bought new had a couple issues I wanted taken care under the Lifetime Warranty.. I told them I wanted the work done at the factory not some Shop.. They set it up, I sent it to them.. They went above & beyond repairing things I didn't even notice. Including Bracing, Bridge, Pickguard, Neck Reset & some other things... I asked them how much $$ it cost. They said $0.00.. All Warranty work... I decided to have them do a re-fret & add the appropriate Electronics which are invisible... The Guitar came back in perfect condition, like new.. I did ask if they'd refinish it to look like new. They said, No. Because it would take another 40 years to get the Tone I have now... But they did detail it beautifully.. I was & still am 110% satisfied & happy! I would buy another Martin in a heartbeat..
  22. Both 1 & 2 are great choices...
