  1. For many years I ran through a couple of these Bunn 10 cup velocity brewers. After the 3rd one bought it, I now use the Bunn model on the far right of the picture in the OP. However, I still use the pot from the model in my post. And for a while I used one of these The Hamilton Beach "Brew Station". As you can see(or not), Once the coffee is made, there's no pot. It's held in a reservoir until you press your cup against a release button and fill it that way. Cool thing, but after a few years the reservoir cracked and it had to go. Whitefang

  3. I too use a Dell desktop. Mine is still less than a year old, so not much to worry about. It replaced my 10 year old HP tower, which was beginning to get contrary. My younger daughter(an IT) picked it out for me and did all the file transfer stuff and other setting up. Turning it on, shutting it down, sending e-mails, reading them, looking through You Tube occasionally and spending a couple of hours a day on forums like this one is the extent of my computer usage and working knowledge. very limited. 4. Foul tasting FOWL? 🙄 My word! I hear it's always the soup du Jour at Peyronie's grill. Whitefang
  5. "Around The Dial"--The Kinks Whitefang
  6. I'll put up some kind of banner. 🙄 Whitefang
  7. Sure, come to think about it. They have been basically a tribute band for the latter 2/3 of "their" career. In fact I think it's safe to day the line-up now is basically a tribute band of the tribute band. Whitefang
  8. "Fool For The City"--Foghat Whitefang
  9. Long standing American rock group The Eagles recently announced they'll be taking their "final tour" starting Sept. 7 this year. Don't know how many(if any)original members will be joining the line-up. And my daughter did ask a good question..... "Is this the ONLY farewell tour, or will it be like many of the other "farewell" tours of other bands who had more than one?" They're supposedly coming here to Detroit sometime in October. But I doubt I'll be rushing to get tickets. I've seen them twice at the beginning of their tenure in '72, back before they deteriorated into doing pap like "Hotel Catatonia". But they did provide many years of some very fine music. And do deserve some kind of "well done!" nod of appreciation Whitefang
  10. The buying and selling of cocaine seemed to be the only time most Americans took any interest in the metric system. Whitefang
  11. "Lonely Teardrops"--Jackie Wilson Whitefang
  12. That sounds rough. I remember when my Mom was going through chemo. I told her it was too bad this didn't happen 15 years earlier. I could have given her all the pot she could use.She smiled and said, "Thanks, but no thanks. I've kinda been enjoying the weight loss." 🙂 Whitefang
  13. "Live Like We're Dying"--Kris Allen Whitefang
  14. Think what you want(considering the process is among your abilities). I insist..... 1. Some bonehead tourist left it behind on purpose so when the news broke out he could"boast" to his powder head friends, "HEY! (Hyuck hyuck) I'M the one who left it there!(hyuh) Ain't I BICH-INNNNN?(hyuck hyuck hyuck!)" 2. Some unimaginative political detractor "flaked" the WH so Biden's political opponents can (try) to make some claim that Biden letting DRUGS! 😱 into the White House is MORE of a threat to national security than Trump mishandling boxfulls of serious classified documents. 15. THREE DOG NIGHT? REALLY? HaHaHaHaHa! They're still around, eh? Yeah, they did become a kind of joke to the "serious" rock crowd, but really.... I saw them on a Sat. night at Detroit's Grande Ballroom in very early March of '69, on the same bill with The James Gang(who have yet to release an album at the time) and The MC5. Some would say that's an odd billing, but gotta tell ya... Three dog night was still riding high on the success of their cover of Otis Redding's "Try A Little Tenderness" and they had a nice tight little band behind them. They also did a cover of The Band's "The Weight" that kicked ***. And if THAT house of juiced and stoned hippies cheered them on like crazy, then they were the real deal. Now I can't say I liked every son they did, But I never really laughed them off. One thing I liked about them was their dislike of "lip syncing" for television appearances. To the point they would often kibitz and never take doing that seriously. you could often tell they were having fun making fun of it. Whitefang
  16. You mean the only thing Deb could think of to feed you when coming home from the hospital was **** on a shingle? I don't have a magnified taste for salt, nor a diminished one. Just my hypertension limits my intake allowance. That little tale of yours did remind me of something funny that my kid sister (now 58) did when she was about four or five. Seated next to me one early evening for dinner, and she was still small enough that she would kneel on her chair in order to be high enough to eat dinner more comfortably. On this particular dinnertime after Mom put everything on her plate(I forget all what it was, I only remember Mac'n'cheese was among it all) she picked up the salt shaker and proceeded to turn her dinner into a winter scene. You could almost feel the brisk Winter breeze and could visualize children sledding down the mounds of heavily white covered macaroni. When seeing it, Mom told Tina, "You're going to eat all of that you know." And Tina said she knew it and she would, nodding her head up and down in a matter of fact manner. Well, upon taking her first huge forkful way over salted food, her head jerked back as if she'd been punched, her eyes seemed to grow to double their normal size, And how she managed to get her glass of milk up to her face that fast and start gulping the milk down without spilling a drop still puzzles me. I gave my Mom credit because I knew that pained look on her face wasn't because she could see her darling daughter was suffering, but probably due to her straining to hold back the huge laugh that I was allowed to get away with. Well, Mom gave Tina enough time to settle down and got her a new plate. And kept the salt shaker out of reach. Tina's birthday is coming up in four days, so I think I'll go to her place and remind her of all that. Whitefang

  18. Remember this bit from Bill Cosby.... Who asked a friend, " Just what does cocaine do for you?" and the friend answered , "It intensifies your personality!" So then Bill asked, "But...What if you're an AZZ-HOLE?" Whitefang
  19. Not familiar enough with them to really care, but I really do hope you guys make it this time. Whitefang
  20. 🤢 OOF! My brother in law has of late taken to these humongous hot dogs made by Nathan's. Just one dog looks as if it contains the amount of "meat" enough for two regular "bun length" dogs. I'll admit they do taste good, but also taste like each one contains my sodium allowance for two days. Now, if Joey could wolf down 62 of those, buns included, and still be conscious I'll buy a huge chunk of DXL stock. Whitefang
  21. Here Comes The Son"--The Beatles Whitefang
  22. STRAP ON? What the Hell kind of home or car repair can you do with one of THOSE?? Whitefang
  23. Really, if my dogs were still alive, they'd have been under the bed since Sunday night. But it wasn't all that bad since everyone on the block knocked it off by 11:00 pm.I think tonight it'll all start earlier and go on much later. Happy 4th all Whitefang
