  8. I pulled out the pups in my 2015 Gibson Les Paul Classic and they are Super 57 at the bridge and 57 classi at the neck. I know thay are alnico II but they are hotter than the 61 tributes with an alinco V. I prefer the super 57 and 57 classic set more than the 61 tributes anyway. So I think we got the better pup setup before they change to the 61's.

  11. I'm not the only person wondering about this. My 2015 gibson les paul classic has the 57 classic at the neck and the super 57 at the bridge just like it says on the gibson site. Another person who just bought one has the same, but all the dealers are advertising the 61 tributes in the 2015 gibson les paul classics. A.M.S., Zzounds, Sweet water all say 61 tributes including news letters from some of these places. I know mine are 57's and I prefer the 57's over the 61's. So my q...

      I called Gibson and gave them my serial# they said 57's in mine. I usually change my pups also but in this case I'm keeping them stock. I have actives in my others and if I use passive I go with duncons but I like these pups for what I'm using this guitar for.

      Min new nut came in and after two days its cutting those little groves into it again! WTH! This is not acceptable for a $2000 guitar!
