blowing my mind here... I think we have always been playing on "reverse" Vs, so the "reverse" V as we think of it is actually right side up - when someone has one strapped up, that V is right-side up... again, mind = blown!
I gave it some additional thought. For the V to be aerodynamic it would have to be turned, or it's not a "Flying" V.

Yep, that’s totally what it is. I didn’t know they sprayed a clear nitro top. I only have poly top Fenders and matte finished Gibsons that have become “glossy” over time so I just thought they buffed the paint in production and didn’t apply a top coat. I’m keeping it since it seems to have above average tuning stability from the other 3 I tried in shops. Thanks for all the replies.
A good guitar with a scratch is preferable to an okay one that's pristine 👍

Can't tell its size from the pic but doesn't look alarming. Sprayed-over scratch?

Now, the SG isn’t the only electric to be afflicted with this condition – the Explorer and Flying V are also known to dive
They are?

I don't think everyone... Most will help without adding snide comments.
With the reverse V, even I had to revert back to "if you can't say anything nice..."

I always like the "selling because I'm moving". To where? A broom cupboard?
Of course, in this economy...

Ah, the sweet folly of youth. His list of "old" horror movies indeed. 🙄 When I think of the "Horror" genre I start with the iconic Universal studio classics of the '30's. DRACULA('31) FRANKENSTEIN('31) BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN('35) THE MUMMY('32) and the variety of such and some of the sequels. And their "Inner Sanctum" series of the '40's.
Over the years "horror" movies gave up providing real horror in favor of having the only thing that scares people is having to endure a parade of special effects designed to nauseate people with miles of film showing needless gore. And a lot of overused "special effect" cliches.

And Japanese accents.
Okay, I promise - last time.

That must have taken some doing!

99% follow the exact same formula and have crap acting as well, so no thanks.
I do like the Omen and Psycho series, though.

Hopefully on your lists are:
"Hired Gun" A documentary film about session and touring musicians that are hired by well established and famous bands and artists like Metallica, KISS, and Billy Joel.
It's good.

Sometimes, the thing is just dopey. How about this?
Q: If I play in a blues band, should I put one foot up on a monitor like metal heads do?
A:
Whether or not you should put one foot up on a monitor while playing in a blues band is a matter of personal preference and style. It's not limited to metal heads; musicians from various genres have used this stage presence technique to engage with the audience and add flair to their performance.
In blues music, the focus is typically on expressing emotions and creating a soulful atmosphere. While it may not be as common to see blues musicians adopting the same high-energy stage movements as metal musicians, there is still room for individual expression.
Ultimately, it's up to you to decide how you want to present yourself on stage. If putting one foot up on a monitor feels natural and enhances your stage presence, then go for it. Just remember that authenticity and sincerity in your performance are often key in blues music, so make sure your stage movements align with the overall tone and mood of the music.

Whether I would know the difference unless I knew I, er, don't know. Probably.

FYI, Inconsistency is the word you all are looking for, which means not consistent and/or irregular.
It was a pun on Gibson's use of the word "iconic".

I recommend you unlearn it and replace it with 'iconicity' which is the correct one.
Also, 'iconicicity' is too hard to pronounce.
That's what makes it iconic.

I have classic 2022 does anyone think the g b e sound really bright. What can I do to tone that down other than rolling back the tone knob.
Follow the advice I gave you in the other thread you made about this.
BB 61s are a bit tricky, but it worked for me and Fearomoon.

I don't like the difference in feel between the thick strings and the skinny ones, so I go with uniform sets. Tens. Because of the iconicicity.

I've been checking out Youtube reviews of the 50's Standard, particularly the faded ones, and one reviewer claimed that they come with 50's wiring, does anyone know if that's correct?
It's really the Greeny model that I fancy most but they are like hen's teeth in the U.K. at the moment.
The 50s Standard comes with 50s wiring. I don't know about the 50s faded, but I can't see why it wouldn't.

Well, it was only a matter of time. No white one though, and at $2500 (3k over here), it's pricey.

You see reverse Vs on ebay from time to time, but I've never actually heard of someone buying one, so this thread is kind of a one-off.
