  1. I have a Zoom G3Xn Multi-Effects Processor, a MXR analog Chorus Pedal, a Boss Compression Sustainer, a Digitech Screamin' Blues pedal, A B9 electro -harmonix Organ Machine pedal. Also a Marshall electronic amp with over 80 sounds. I used to use them but not in the last several years.
  2. Thanks JD, Think it was you who told me they were good the first time. Yeah, I to have experimented with all types of strings. I even ordered some out of New York once to try them. I did like Nickel also. Think it was Rab's who first suggested them to me. Or maybe it was Pippy? But These Thomastik strings are the best I used to date. So I will stick to them plus they claim much longer use. What impressed me was my Gold Top has never had sustain before. I tried pedals and all sorts of stuff and when I put the Thomastik strings on it yesterday, it sounded almost like semi hollow. They are long enough to put on the Riviera also. So it's next.
  3. Is it possible for strings to change tone? I bought a pair of Thomastik round wounds in .010-.044's. and can hear much more sustain than the guitar ever had before. So I purchased two more sets of Flat wounds and both guitars never had the sustain or tone they have now. Expensive strings though. Close to 30.00 a pair.
  4. I was wondering what others would say about that design. Gibson keeps sending me emails a lot. After that last design. I unsubscribed them. Now Dietz music has a ES335 I have my eyes on. Now, according to Deb, I can't have two Red guitars. they look the same she says. So they have one in cream. Lol.
  5. It is pretty, I don't have that color yet. Debbie says I'm not allowed to get guitars of the same color. They have to be different. LOL
  6. Seen it. I still remember the last one. Best to watch it through a welding helmet or a sun lens.
  7. Do you know those Pet lasers like for cats? We had one for him. He was hilarious chasing it all over. It was rare we did it for him but he looked forward to it. He would not quit chasing it and crying trying to catch it. We have leaded glass, beveled windows and the sun projected different colors all over the walls and ceiling plus the carpet. He went nuts over them when downstairs. I didn't even see the Jag guitar doing it but he did. Ever hear a full grown Doberman Pincher howling like a wolf? He was loud and would not shut up till I put the guitar on the rack. Sometimes he sang or howled with the songs. I actually miss him very much.
  8. Not really, Aleve does nothing for me. I feel better with 2 Advils. I have tried Tylenall and others, to no effect.
  9. When I have to take Advil almost every morning to function.
  10. I loved the Jag, Sundance wouldn't let me play it much. He kept barking at the metal that shined on the walls & ceiling. He was louder than I and wouldn't shut up. I loved playing my surf songs and using the Tremolo bar.
  11. Funny, I hate to admit it but way back decades ago, I drove up to a fast food window and ordered Kentucky fried chicken. They said we don't have any. I looked up at the sign and was at the burger joint next to it. I was so embarrassed.
  12. Lol, I tried to turn around and look at him but couldn't with the seat belt on. She said he was sitting at the light going to town with two actual drum sticks on the steering wheel. When the light changed he kept playing as he drove for awhile. Probably when he finished his song? Haha.
  13. My wife saw a guy behind her on the road that was driving and had 2 drum sticks beating on the steering wheel. We thought, Oh My. Sorry, didn't get his license. Lol.
  14. Rob told me that White Fang was also banned here too.
  15. Thanks for the info, Like I said, I gave that guitar to our granddaughter. I asked both grandkids, Which guitar do you want? Reagan wanted the Jag and Grayson wanted my red Gretsch. John wanted my black & white Epiphone Standard so I took all 3 over to their house. That still gave me 6 guitars. Of course I told them my Gibson standard and Casino were off limits till after I die.
  16. That was probably it then. When my arthritis acted up the fingers got sore fast so I put 9's on all the guitars. Now I purchased Thomastik Infeld 10-48's and put them on my Casino. I actually love them and plan on ordering some for the other guitars.
  17. Welcome Eric. Practice gets that playing back on track.
  18. We saw Buddy Guy way back. Also several you mentioned here. They were all good. Actually anyone who can play a great solo is number one in my book as I can't solo much. just some of the easier ones.
  19. That his a first I heard someone say that. I know a lot of guys love them. Not to get on anyones bad list, I would tend to agree with you, Lol. I had a Jaguar and every time I played it, the E strings kept going over the edge. I ended up changing the bridge on it which helped and now our Granddaughter has it.
  20. We are glad that my wife and I had an opportunity to see him and the band before the Eagels came out. I was shocked to hear of his death like 3 weeks later.
  21. While on tour with Steely Dan he had a sudden illness and died in a New York City hospital. A long time Keyboard player for Steely Dan.
  22. Back in the days when I was still single I had like 13 guitars, a $43,000. 00 race car and showed Dobermans. If I didn't race or show Dobermans, can you imagine the fancy guitars I could have had? Lol. I always loved Gibson the most but also liked Gretsch.
  23. Way back, I turned down a Lucille for a Gretsch, for my birthday. Does the Martin teach you to play like Jimmy Page? Lol. I wish someone like Joe Walsh would teach me to play better.
