    Went out to Garden Caffe for lunch. I had a Hot Turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy and Cranberry sauce and ice tea. Dinner I made a large Chicken Ceaser salad with my favorite French dressing while I watched Robin Hood with Kevin Kostner.

    Ha, sorry for your diet and temptation Dig. This thread I actually love. Best one yet I'd get on every day and keep going but if it bothers you we shouldn't temp you! I've lost weight due to my Bronchitis and haven't been too hungry. So far today I've only had one bowl of chicken noodle soup.

    Nah, my wife's a great cook and made it for my cold but your lunch sounds much better! Oh, the chicken noodle soup was great but I love Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli and cauliflower. My favorite meal with chicken is my wife's Chicken and Dumplings, oh, it's to die for!! But Mr. Gibson, I am a great cook on some things, I do Chilli very very good.

    Ha, I didn't proof read it. I typed in at Panera Bread but doesn't seem it took "at." That's a problem I have with this computer. It always delets stuff I type or changes the spelling to make it say what it wants. But no, we didn't eat the Panera Bread store. Lol

    We redesigned our schedule after we retired. When I was working I always ate breakfast, lunch and dinner. But that was too much when I retired so now, I don't eat breakfast at all. I'll have a cup of tea or coffee, maybe a banana once in awhile but then eat a brunch as we call it. Anywhere from 10:30 to 11:30 we eat a big lunch and that is filling till around 5:00 ish, and then we have a lighter dinner. Maybe a sandwhich or something, so we're actually turning lunch into dinner and dinner into lunch. That way we have less before bedtime in our stomach and keep our weight the same everyday with more energy through the day. I just figure everyone has to do what works best for them. But that Dairy Queen is rare for us, and we hardly ever do deserts.

    Today's lunch was Panera Bread with the wife. A small bowl of Chicken Noodle soup and a Sierra Turkey sandwich.

    No idea why they call it that. It's pistachio pudding mixed with cool whip, marshmallows and pineapple and very good tasting. More of a desert actually. Over here though, they have it with described above and its green with Pistachio, or they have it in cherry, but they call them Watergate salads. Not sure what is in the slush but they tell me it's mostly sugar. But it's a frozen slush and they put vanilla ice cream in the middle. Dairy Queen used to make them and they called it a Mister Misty Float. Then they quit. Now they just make the slush, and call it an Artic Rush. So the one close by us, after I described to them what they used to make, makes it for me. They said it is actually a Artic Rush Float, and they usually blend the slush and ice cream together. But for me they don't blend them and you can eat it with a spoon and straw. You can get them in any flavor, but it's a desert you eat slow as those ice cream headaches come very quick!

    Lunch we had steak with a baked potato compliments of her aunt who thought she was defrosting two pork chops, then gave them to my wife. Then for dinner I had homemade beef stew, corn bread and a watergate pistachio salad. Then an Artic Rush Float from Dairy Queen for desert. I am so stuffed. Think she thought I wasn't eating to well.

    Great group. I was playing, or let me say (Trying) to practice Stairway to heaven today. I have about 4or 5 parts down but it's taken me a very long time. Still haven't got to the solos. Then I was out doing yard work all day and my knees and back are very sore. Time to just relax for a bit.

    Hello Emma, I read your profile, wanted to see where you were from. When you told Digger you loved house work and dusting, I had to see if you lived in the U.S. Near us. Darn, Darn, Darn.!!!!! Lol

    Kids today do have some cool stuff. I think the first thing I had about 3 was a 1/16 scale steam locomotive train set. Dad put it up and let me watch it go around. Had a whistle and smoke. When I got much older, I did lots of models

    For $400.00 for a Epiphone black Standard, I got a bill of sale! Nothing else and I asked! My Gibson Standard Gold Top came with a beautiful case, Manuel, truss rod, warranty, instructions, and a free set of Earnie Ball strings, plus the bill of sale! Lol. Oh, I did get a sticker on the pick guard of the Epiphone that said Lifetime warranty. I'll have to keep the sticker on it, it's the only proof I have that says it. Nothing to send in.

    Hi Cougar. Thanks for the help on the Epiphone. I did get the black Standard, it plays and sounds great. My cousin who taught me to play had a black Gibson with white trim, always thought it was cool. I could have gone a $100.00 over the budget for a Pro, but now have enough extra for a Blues Pedal. Thanks again for your help.

    Hello Marshall, I have been looking at Carvin guitars for awhile. I was just wondering if you have ever played them before and if so what your thoughts were about them compared to a Gibson. I love my LP S but would like to add one more. Either a Carvin or a Strat. I practice mostly on my Fender accoustic which never goes out of tune. Thoughts?
