  1. I know nothing about the Joe Pass, but I do know that the Blak and Blu is one of the best guitars I have played or owned at any price point. Epiphone hit a home run with this one
  2. I preordered mine on March 12th and just received it last Wednesday May 20th and let me tell you, it was well worth the wait. I've been playing for nearly 30 years and have never even picked up an Epiphone. I've owned Gibsons and a bunch of Fenders and have always called myself a "Fender Guy", they have always fit me and my playing style. Something caught my eye with the Blac and Blu and I figured I would give it a try. I am proud to say that I am now in the Epi family. Don't get me wrong, I still love my Strats and always will, but the Casino is getting all my attention right now.
  3. BDX. Congratulations, that is one sharp guitar. How does it play? I'm still waiting on mine. American Musical Supply told me either the 9th or the 11th. If it doesn't ship by Monday afternoon, I'm gonna cancel my order and get one from their competitor who happens to have them in stock. Ray
  4. So sellers can tell buyers anything they want. IMHO you are correct. Or maybe so if it takes off, they can produce them for years (i.e. The Lennon Casino). Or if it's a dog then they can pull it without public backlash by stating " we are sorry you didn't get your Gary Clark Jr Casino, but we told you it was Limited Edition"
  5. The first run was bought out by Musicians Friend, American Musical supply, Sweetwater, and Guitar Center for the most part. My local music store (an authorized Epiphone dealer) was told this by Epiphone when he tried to order a few. Being that they said "the first run" leads me to believe there will be several. As far as a production number.....I have no idea.
  6. Alright it's only 7 days shy of two months since my order was placed. According to AMS the guitars should arrive and ship tomorrow. ***fingers crossed***. Hopefully by this time Wednesday I can post pictures and a brief hands on review. Ray
  7. I was notified today that the guitar should ship May 11. Is this something Epi did with the UJ? Did they issue a date and keep pushing it back? I really hope I'm not waiting until the end of the year for this thing. Guitar World reviewed it in this months issue and now I'm even more excited. Ray
  8. Willy, I went with the trapeze tailpiece as I know nothing about Bigsbys and I'm not sure of the stability of them. And if the trapeze was good enough for Lennon than its good enough for me. BTW that is one nice looking Paul Ray
  9. Thanks for the info. I'm to the point that I would drive the 3000 miles to L.A. and swim through shark infested waters to get this guitar
  10. Matt. I really hope I don't have to wait close to a year for this guitar.
  11. Pesh, I ordered the Casino on March 11th. AMS said that it should ship on March 13th. When it didn't ,I called and they stated that the shipment had been pushed back and they had no definitive date from Epiphone. I really don't mind the wait, but I ordered a case for the guitar which they shipped and I received two days later.....now every time I open my closet I see this empty case that should contain my new baby.
  12. Greetings. I'm new to this forum and new to Epiphone Guitars. I've been playing Fenders for over 30 years. To be honest I've never had an Epiphone catch my eye until I saw the Gary Clark Jr. Blak and Blu on the American Musical Supply website and I had to have it. So I've preordered one and am now waiting. My question is Does anyone know the projected date that these will be available? Thanks in advance for your replies Ray
