  1. We both infer what was meant. Nevertheless "No Gibson guitars are built in Japan that are of a superior quality to an American Gibson" The qualifier there is highlighted. In terns of grammar, it is making a comparison between Japanese & American built Gibsons.
  2. I'm not sure you meant to say that. To be clear, Gibson guitars are only made in the USA. What are the originals you refer to ???
  3. Thanks for the May Blitz link john. New to me and liked it.
  4. Those bigger box hollow bodies do come progressively more expensive. Do you have a preference for semi or fully hollow? You original idea for a ES 165 would be my 1st choice I think. I have a ES 339 and a Howard Roberts Fusion iii which are both semi hollow of course. I also have a cheap Hofner 17 inch fully hollow with floating Kent Armstrong PU strung with flatwounds. The flatwounds limit the versatility I find. Its pretty much exclusively jazz.
  5. Use a hosting site. I use IMGUR. upload your pic and then select the 'direct link' (copy) option. Then paste in here.
  6. 'Black Horse' from the Keith Tippet Group

  8. wake up with a head full of great plans to fill your day. and don't do any of them.
  9. Glad you are getting another soon. I have never looked back or had the slightest regret selling on a guitar. I sold a Strat I had used for 25 years. I part exchanged it for a Jackson Soloist which I kept for the next 18 years. I sold that on too, and many more. Enjoy that songwriter
  10. I dont have a pic of it, but here is a video of the actual guitar that I got from the guy demo-ing it here. I put in a the winning bid. Cherry has a video of me playing it in a garden. I dont know where that is.
  11. You know about my plastic guitar right? No I'm not kidding.
  12. So Presley so so stoked about the LP gifted from Gibson, that he played it once and gave it to his chef. Is that an endorsement? Nice guitar and bike anyway.
  13. The only step down from there is the slave model (not such a big step either)
  14. hard to beat! this is a famous guitar. sadly this is a reproduction and not the Paul Bigsby original
  15. This is the old Irish Skid Row, not the American one.
  16. I'm surprised that my two favourite drummers are in there. Elvin Jones & Stuart Copeland. Grohl ? Dont know, but he's not the first drummer to leave the kit for centre stage. Phil Collins comes to mind.
  17. Sounds like the action is low. A bit 'buzzy' sounding. Too much bling going on too. Not dissimilar to our own uk Monarch really. I'd be happier with a J200 'Peasant' thank you very much.
  18. The Outer World - Art Blakey's Big Band
