  1. What did the Dalmatian say after dinner? That hit the spot. 😬
  2. Interesting concept. Way too thick for me, but I can imagine that a studio musician bass player might really enjoy employing it. 🫠
  3. And for the record, though I respect Slash's success and his apparent good heart and kind nature, I have no desire to own any of the 27 or so Slash Signature Model Les Pauls that are available for sale right now. πŸ˜—
  4. I have heard it 'teased' but haven't seen any official announcement of an updated Jessica signature model. 😐
  5. We love getting fresh-baked sourdough bread from the Publix bakery. But I have to buy a half a loaf at a time. There are no preservatives, so it'll go stale or moldy by the time I get to the last few slices. 😐
  6. Just Between You And Me. One of my all time favorite songs. πŸ₯² Myles playing his Les Paul Artisan there. Or at least holding it while he sang.
  7. Buongiorno, AthosB.
  8. Heh. My ex-wife always said I belonged in Hell, but she never called me a helluva guy. 😐
  9. Oh man. I remember him from Wings, and he always seemed like a good fellow. πŸ₯²
  10. I'll certainly be on the lookout, Aaron. πŸ™‚
  11. I may have an extra one. If I find it this evening, I'll mail it right out to you, Murph. πŸ™‚
  12. You're a good son, Duane! πŸ₯²
  13. Gary Moore looked like he was a having a real good time. πŸ˜ƒ
  14. I never owned a hot rod. Or a muscle car. I think I always knew my limitations. I'm a good auto mechanic and motorcycle mechanic, but I'm not a tough guy. I go to bed at nine pm. I'm up at four am. And I put sweet-creamy creamers in my coffee instead of drinking it straight black. I don't chain smoke Salems while cleaning spark plugs with fully leaded gasoline. You get the picture. I'm kind of a candy-a$$. But I admired Jeff Beck. As I admire you hot rod owners and wrench-turners. God speed to you. πŸ₯²
  15. They actually fake Epiphones? Mind you, I have owned a few Epiphones in my life. I never knew. πŸ™‚
  16. I love Dolly. And I have fond memories of the original Lynyrd Skynyrd. But I can't listen to any of this. It's like grave-robbing. 😐
  17. What really helps is making sure to never knock your guitar over onto the floor. πŸ™‚
  18. I have always fancied an Epiphone Casino in the natural finish, like John played during the final rooftop concert above Apple Records. A good friend found one a number of years ago, and bought it from Guitar Bob. I need to ring him up, and ask him if he still has it. πŸ™
  19. I'm thankful for my wife, my dogs, and good Gibson forum friends like you! My brother is coming over later with his wife, and they are bringing a ham, turkey breast, and sweet potato pie. The Missus and I did all the prep work for sides yesterday, and will be baking the stuffing and cooking up the mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries, and fresh green beans. The succotash is already in the crock pot. I have some nice Australian white wine chilling in my beer fridge. Life is good. πŸ™‚
  20. I just have it in my head that rollers (at the nut and at the bridge) would make things utterly friction-free, and therefore minimize wear and tear on the strings. I'm not going for any change or improvement in tone, to be clear. My Strat Plus has the roller nut. (As rarely as I use the trem on that Strat, it's a nice feature when I do.) As ugly as it is, I really like it. It's all just brainstorming, I guess. I have never once in my life broken a string while playing, so I really ought to let it go. πŸ™‚
  21. Man oh man. I sawr that yesterday. A heartbreaking situation. I always loved Daryl and John's music, and have been a big fan for many years. I know that they haven't really gotten along for the past few decades, but they somehow managed to make peace, and go on the road together. This here is just sad. πŸ™
  22. And hey, it's only $19,999.00 plus tax. That's a bargain. https://www.gibson.com/en-US/Electric-Guitar/1959-Les-Paul-Standard-Reissue-Limited-Edition-Murphy-Lab-Aged-With-Brazilian-Rosewood-Tea/Toms-Tea?sc_src=email_1397888&sc_lid=154517239&sc_uid=NmX7PQsxun&sc_llid=4238&sc_customer=0c425991-d3ab-4405-b167-3b6b3c1ef6cf&utm_source=Emarsys&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=11.22.23%3A+1959+LP+Limiteds+-+Brazilian+Rosewood
  23. That'll rub right out. 😐
  24. Anderton's has quite a few (very sturdy) Mono padded, structured gig bags ranging from 150 to 300 quid. https://www.andertons.co.uk/guitar-dept/electric-guitar-accessories/cases-bags-for-electric-guitars/gig-bags-for-electric-guitars Thoman does even better. They have the Gibson premium soft case for 136 quid. https://www.thomannmusic.com/gibson_premium_soft_case_black.htm I have the Gibson one. It's really, really nice, and sturdy. πŸ™‚
