Yep, the Goldtop. My guy at the store says if we get lucky it may not be that long. Sometimes other orders get cancelled for some reason and we can get bumped up in line

This will make a nice addition to the stable. I have two 57 Classic equipped guitars, a 2016 LP Trad and a 2014 Studio 339 and an SG with 490/498. So the P90 slot is getting filled. I did try a LP Special with pretty much the same guts but I want the LP Hopefully not the 30-60 day wait that Gibson is anticipating according to my shop.

I have 490/498 on mine. They're a good raw rock sounding pickup but they are a bit limited. Sure, they clean up but there are better pickups for that. But for in your face type stuff they're great

I have a 2014 339 Studio. Not sure what the neck profile is officially but it feels asymmetrical to me. Whatever it is I like it

I have a 2012 SG Std and a 2014 339 Studio. The SG has the 490/498 pickups, the 339 has 57 Classics. Two totally different sounding guitars but the 339 will sustain just as well, if not better than SG. As mentioned above you can always find an SG, a 339 isnt as easily found. If you like the one you have I suggest keeping it as well

I'd like a new P90 LP with the thick neck. However those are Goldtop. I'm really not a Goldtop guy. But Desertburst , yeah, I want one like that

Take the amp with you if you have to. Looking at a new Gibson, stores should be glad to let you plug into your own stuff

I asked Gibson in an email, their reply was that for now those are the only two options. But maybe later there would be others. There is a 50s Tribute model and a Standard I think it was. Each is it's own color

The neck profile on that was a little on the small side as well. My only reservation is that the Lesters only come in TV Yellow and Goldtop for now. Not exactly my favorite colors

I use non bleached muslin on mine. Wrap both arms with a couple layers and it's good to go. If posting pics wasn't such a pain here I'd show you
