Thanks for the reply. I got the guitar today and it’s great. Neck is good and was set up good out of the box except for the action. I don’t know who sets up Epiphone’s at the factory but every one I get the action is super high. The pickups sound great. The neck pickup especially. It gets a great jazzy sound. I’m a big Grant Green fan so thats the sound I’m trying for. I know a Casino isn’t as good as a Gibson ES-330 but it’s close enough for me. The guitar itself is flawless, the finish is super cool and looks much better in person. Even the Indian Laurel fretboard looks great. Nice and dark. I’m very happy with the guitar.

I just ordered one of these from zZounds and was wondering if the pickups are gonna be good enough to keep. I emailed Epiphone and asked them what the difference was in the two pickups. According to them they are the same pickups. I don’t know the reason for the name difference. They didn’t say. Just that they are Alnico 5 and have an output of about 7. So my question is does anyone have these pickups in a Worn Casino and do you like them? I was thinking of putting a set of Lollar’s in it. I still might, even if they are good I doubt they’re as good as the Lollars would be.

Thanks for the replies. It’s not unplayable at all but the strings could be lower. I may just leave it the way it is.

I purchased a tune o matic bridge for my Broadway. The issue I’m having is that its lowered all the way but the strings aren’t as low as I like. I bought the bridge from Stewmac and its made for archtops. I know the strings will go lower because I had them pretty low with the stock wooden bridge. It looks and sounds so much better with the new bridge. Also I used the base that came with the guitar as the new bridge fit on it perfectly. Is there a way to get the strings lower. Do you think the neck needs adjusting or is the bridge just to tall. I wanted to get the Elitist look with it so I purchased the bridge and the tuners that come on the Elitist. I also bought Seymour Duncan Jazz pickups for it. It’s a sweet guitar. Back to the bridge any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know if these two guitars have been discontinued? They are no longer on the website and the only place I’ve found them in stock is zZounds. I ordered a Broadway from them yesterday and it should be here Friday. I’m really wanting the Joe Pass also and wondering should I grab one while they have them.
