  1. I am considering a Traditional to mate with my SG Std. I have had a LP Std on my "to get" list for a while but am now drifting towards the Traditional. I really like the Chicago Blue, not only because I think it's beautiful but also because it's different from what most seem to want or have. Any advice?

Definitely one of my faves... Love the dark blue, perfect for the BLUEZZZ

  2. ... there is many computed tomography units on that planet. and every single one would see it the very same way!

PS: I love just because of the sweet sounds it makes. I don´ care about the looks...

Nice, howd you get your boss to allow you do quick pilot scan of your gibson.

We use a 40 slice brilliance, by Phillips , should scan mine, then do some 3d reformations

  3. Oh please... you don't need a total setup to change one gauge up or down, unless your real name is Eric Johnson! The difference in intonation is more theoretical than practical for that incremental change. No matter how well-intonated your guitar, if you grab a chord too tightly with 9s, you'll make it go sharp just by bending the wire over the fret.

Be adventurous, and then get a setup if your experience witht the 9s tells you that's the direction you want to go.

+1, my bud changed to 10s without a setup, if it had a flating bridge most definitely would need a set up.

  4. i like 10s on my les paul, my friend just changed his strings on his custom shop 68 les paul from 9s to 10s, and imo feels better , slight change in tone, but definitely betteer control whith chords and leads.
