  1. Yup, mostly clean except for a few bluesy leads. I liked the idea of having some Orange gain at various volumes without a separate pedal, but as others pointed out it's probably in my best interest to just get a multi effect pedal anyhow.
  2. Thanks for the suggestions! I'll check out a Marshall Code for sure. Looks like guitar amps though. I won't blow it out with a bass? I was always under the impression that you can put a guitar through a bass amp, but not the other way around.
  3. It's like 8 people, odd variety of acoustic instruments like fiddle and squeezebox. The only other person who uses electric instruments is using one of these for both guitar and bass: http://www.voxshowroom.com/uk/amp/aga70.html I don't think it sounds good for either.
  4. Has anyone tried putting a LP or other guitar through an Orange bass combo amp? I switch between guitar and bass sometimes when playing with friends, and I don't want to haul two amps. I've been eyeing the crush 50, since I love the sound of the Orange guitar amps. If that one is no good, does anyone have a recommendation for a smallish combo that sounds good for both guitar and bass?
  5. Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I was actually looking to see if anyone used the backaxe or the Rokkomann. The guys I play with live about 2 miles away, so it'd be nice to have something on my back, especially if I bicycle.
  6. Did the OP find something that worked? I bought an Akai EIE I/O to try this exactly and also have issues with noise.
  7. I had a few of the tortoise ones and bought the 50pack tin of the black thinking they'd be the same. I found the black ones wear down much faster. No idea why. They don't feel any more flimsy, both are mediums.
  8. I know this is an OLD topic, but I wanted to say I found this because my LP had the same issue. The problem was an un-level fret, as someone noted above. Very small amount of un-level. For a short term fix I raised the action a hair. Long term I will probably get the frets leveled by a decent luthier. Strange thing is, it wasn't a problem until after a fret dressing during a string change, a couple years after buying the guitar. Thanks, all.
