  1. Hey! I gots one a dose... I think mine's a '91...tobacco burst, you say? I can't keep track of them all...
  2. Congratulations buddy...I was sweating for a second afraid you'd let go of that B45...
  3. James Taylor and Jackson Browne were scheduled to come to town this summer...sigh... I'd love to see Stevie Wonder...
  4. Okay, I cracked...just got back from picking it up...to quote Hoyt Axton, "I know it's wrong, but I'm weak"...
  5. That's the one. I didn't get it. I'm working midnight shift and every extra shift I can to get out of debt. I pulled in GC's parking lot and guilt/responsibility took over and I left. Mr. Woof, I still have the B45 if you're ever interested... my hands are just too small to do it justice...
  6. You had me at strawberry shortcake...
  7. I'm pulling the trigger on a new Hummingbird (Limited Edition)12 string our local GC has marked down to $1800 (normally $2600)...I "window shop" their website about once a week and been looking at it for some time now...when I called them they said that one had actually sold earlier in the day, but they had a new one just hung out they'd let me have for the same price... So, J, I know you've got one...tell me to stop fretting (no pun intended), okay?
  8. Pete Townshend "percussed" a wide range of makes/models...
  9. Fiona Whelan PrineFollow 15 mins This is John’s 8th day in ICU . He is receiving excellent medical care and being treated with kindness and compassion by the entire team looking after him day and night. I cannot be with him which makes this nightmare all the more distressing for me. As you know, John was put on a ventilator last Saturday. He still needs quite a bit of help with his breathing. Like many patients currently in ICU beds all around the world, John has pneumonia in both lungs. He has also developed some peripheral issues that are being treated with meds, including antibiotics. He is very ill and yet I remain hopeful that he can continue to fight this devastating virus and come home where we can care for him. I don’t have the words to adequately Thank You all for the outpouring of love and prayers that John and our family has received this last week. It means the world to us to have your love and support at this difficult time. On behalf of me and our boys- Jody Jack and Tommy - please know that we are keeping you all in our hearts with a prayer that you stay safe and healthy. Please continue to send Love, Prayers and Positive Energy to John. He needs us now more than ever. John loves you and I love you too.🙏🏼❤️💚 The latest from John's wife...
  10. I've seen posts in a couple forums saying he's "fair"...can someone post a link? 'cause the last I saw Fiona post he's stable (thankfully) but no mention of an upgrade..."Stable" means they've "leveled off"...far as I can tell he's still critical, still intubated (a new term to me), and holding steady...
  11. Last word from Fiona (JP's wife) is he's stable but still in critical condition...
  12. Divorced first time (after seven years), widowed second time (after eleven)...just celebrated nineteen years w/my wife now yesterday...she hasn't figured out a different way out yet...
  13. Yeah, I always thought Christine was a real singer...Stevie was their version of David Lee Roth...the band went in a main-stream rock direction w/her...whole different band..kinda like when Michael MacDonald joined the Doobies, Joe Walsh joined Eagles, etc.
  14. Cool guitar, even cooler dog...you're livin' the dream!
  15. Hey Anthony! First off, welcome to the forum. You're in the best possible place for advice. This lot is a treasure trove of experience and knowledge. I will only add two generic nuggets. It's a good thing that plastic bridge is cracked, now it HAS to be replaced. And, I've always hated it when a shop puts their sticker over the serial numbers... I'd grab it up and make a project out of it. Good luck!
  16. That's a cool looking guitar...diggin' that truss rod cover...
  17. Wow...I'd love to see them in a club...thanks for sharing...
  18. Sounds like a ton of fun...bravo!
  19. Good on ya for giving them up, Murph...quitting was easy for me; I did it a thousand times! It was not restarting that was tough. But I did...19 years ago...
  20. So who's brushing up on Christmas tune? Which ones? My beautiful wife wants me to accompany her at church when se does "Oh Holy Night"...and I started rehashing "Winter Wonderland"...
  21. Our local library has an annual book/movie/cd sale to thin the herd...I would imagine the vinyl has been cleared for some time...but it would be worth a phone call...
  22. This is good to know...
  23. I've got a line on a 2018 model. The guy that owns a local shop is selling his in a desperation attempt to keep the store afloat. I don't really need it (although I do like it) and hate to get it that way. Told him if I could swing it he could "pawn" it to me until he got more solvent. If the holidays are good to him he could have it right back, even-steven... He had it in the shop earlier this year to do some work on it (added a pickup, I think). It caught my eye then, but never expected it to come up for sale. It's a player; just curious if anyone here has any experience w/them?
  24. Kid, you've got every right and reason to be as happy as you are...nothin' like a Dove...congrats!
