  1. Man this thread is full of GAS inducing pics. Nice guitars guys!!!
  2. Ahh it’s cause that’s hog and we’re used to seeing maple inside when it’s ply
  3. There’s pretty much no way in hell this is a 17 year old fake. If it is it’s probably worth more than an original because it would have to be built by an extremely talented high end luthier. But that would be silly, it’s pretty safe to assume it’s real. I’d shell out $3K for that
  4. These had a lot going on that I’m not normally into but I can’t stop looking at that pic. It’s a really cool guitar
  5. That thing is a collectible dude don’t bring that headstock anywhere near Ozzy
  6. Not sure how it is now but that’s how it was when they first came out. They were calling the slimmer one 30/60
  7. The 5/16” acorn nut. The most elusive item in a Chinese guitar factory
  8. The 339 was available with two different neck profiles, basically “50s” and “60s”
  9. This is what I was referring to when I said “hopefully a lot less than 1/8”. Not referring to structural integrity but aware that 1/8” would be an obscenely thick fretboard binding
  10. It’s hopefully a lot less than 1/8” but keep in mind even 1/16” is massive when you’re trying to transition under a gloss finish
  11. Yeah the good thing is that it has that whole end of the neck pocket covered with binding which is overlapped by the heel. Working in that area is gonna be miserable and highly prone to wonkiness though… especially if you’re planning to use abrasives to do the whole thing Depending on which glue they used I’d be highly tempted to just replace the whole fretboard
  12. Have you run your idea by anyone who you think understands the neck joint?
  13. That’s no good either bill but I gotta go to work
  14. Gonna be a nasty transition at the neck/body joint at best
  15. Can you get these over there? https://preval.com what are you gonna paint?
  16. Do these have the Moog electronics? Cool looking guitars
  17. Duane I believe you live in SoCal and believe me we are blessed with weather lol
  18. The condition looks good enough from my house. I don’t think I could keep a guitar looking that good for that long to be honest. Then again pics can lie
  19. One thing that makes me want Rabs to get this is that it isn’t a traditional LP and it probably isn’t all made out of mahogany with maple cap
  20. Yep I was gonna say.. there are only 4 springs on a Les Paul so it shouldn’t be hard to track down if that’s the problem. Everything JDGM said is spot on. I’d add that none of this has anything to do with QC so lighten up on that poor guy lol
  21. Is the ABR-1 rattling or is it just a screw or something you can tighten down? Maybe a pickguard screw or something
  22. We’re on a plane flying over the middle of the ocean and the pilot suddenly dies. Good thing is planes have been around for a long time so anyone else in the plane will easily bring us to safety
  23. Probably not plug and play on an SG either. If it’s a batwing you’d need to do some routing and get a new pickguard. If it’s a half guard you’re looking at a P-94 or real ugly job
