  1. Yes, that is a nice music room. But, is that Landslide by Fleetwood Mac on the music stand??? lolz. Buc and GuitarsAnn make good points about dry guitar symptoms Buc saying top might sink, Ann saying changes in tuning. Egoideal, you might see all strings being slightly flat when putting the tuner on the guitar.

  3. That sounds painful. It must've left a mark. And you had to endure that for years before they hired you? My sympathies.
  4. The warm mist/vaporizer type things really are a less risky way to go, as opposed to soundhole humidifiers. Humidipaks are better now, still expensive, relatively short-lived, and generally a pain if you try to revive them. The warm mist humidifiers last longer if your water has less minerals in it. The closer you can get to distilled ($), the better. Even running your water through a Brita filter would help. And everyone and everything in the house benefits from being anywhere near 45% humidity. At 275 Watts and maybe $.061/kWhr, you're looking at about $2.82/wk for each warm mist humidifier you run, + some increase in the power transmission capacity charge on your electric bill. I suppose that 275W would be max power consumption on the highest setting of the humidifier.
  5. And people never ever have anything to say about the problems they have with their Gibsons. Only praise. Never any threads about LIFTING PICKGUARDS, PICKGUARDS COVERING THE ROSETTE, ACTION TOO HIGH, CONFUSING MODEL NAMES, TOO MANY J45 MODELS, QUALITY CONTROL, PICKUPS INSTALLED THAT ARE UNWANTED, UNEVEN SUNBURSTS, GRAIN RUNOUT, GIBSONS BEING JUST TOO EXPENSIVE, OR A GUITAR THAT JUST DOESN'T SOUND GOOD. You also forgot about the threads where someone constantly feels the need to post in defense of their non-Gibson guitar. Even though many of the people here also have a guitar or multiple guitars of that brand as well. But they're just here to mostly talk about Gibson guitars. And they know whose sandbox they're playing in.
  6. Why don't you just tell us what the asking price is.
  7. Just do the right thing and get it fixed.
  8. They can burn you for giving false info. But the Corona deal really shut down their knocking on people's doors. And the American Community Survey asks your adjusted gross income, your name ("but it's annonymous"), where you work, when do you leave and return from work, the names/ages of yourself, and all others in the household, and everyone's phone number. Law on the books allowing for an up-to $5k fine for not complying, though there has not been a penalization for it since 1970. A congressman, Poe, from Texas, challenged the fine, and won his case successfully in 2015 & 2016, I think it was.
  9. If you mean Gibson Masterbuilt, either Premium Phospor Bronze or 80/20 , 12-53 Lights, those are what come with, or came with them. Your choice. Or just put your favorites on there.
  10. Knowing how long a guitar has been for sale helps to know if a seller is more open to negotiate. The info was there, but I can't seem to find it now
  11. Now, that is only the Buy-It-Now price, it is open to offers.
  12. Here's a hint, fellas- if you paid the price that's marked on the tag- you overpaid.
  13. Merry Christmas, Hoser. Oh, there were incites, and insights as well. So what was in the glass being handed to you in your avatar? Seeing the empty Maker's Mark bottle in your video, we can only guess as to your musical influences. Either way, Merry Christmas, brother.
  14. The aunt or father has a very bright basement. Almost looks like the music room of a school or church maybe you can sneak back and get a photo of the headstock looking close at that bridge refin
  15. Hilarious, DaveF. Must be from the British part of Kentucky almost as good as the bloke a while back who commented on a song by saying except for the singing and playing, it was excellent. and I was just going to say "nice shirt"
  16. You should be able to just about get to that number.
