I was browsing Bruce's website this morning and seen this headstock where he had inlaid his signature.
Since I own the only Flatiron guitar in existence (a prototype Bruce built for Gibson in 96) I thought it would be awesome to have that signature on the truss rod cover of the Flatiron guitar.
So I called the shop to see if this could be done. Bruce answered the phone and we spent about an hour on the phone with him talking guitars and mandolins.
He wasn't aware that he has a couple of his instruments at the Bluegrass HOF in Owensboro, KY so it was cool to be able to pass along a couple pictures from there of his artwork on display.
The phone call made for an awesome memory, and I can't wait until the new truss rod cover shows up in the mail in a few months.
Here's the Flatiron with her siblings.
