  1. So I finally got around to putting the La Bella strings on the Martin and they work beautifully. Being an OM they sound a little brighter than they do on the AJ but just as balanced without creating hot sounding strings like some others do. Very happy.
  2. I too love my adi top rosewood AJ. It travels in a Hiscox.
  3. Congratulations on your new addition. Hopefully we’ll get to see some photos. After doing far too much research on cases to transport my guitars back and forth to Australia, I settled for the Hiscox Artist. They have done 4 return trips so far and I can’t recommend them enough. I bought mine from Elderly Instruments.
  4. It’s been a few days now and the strings are are still terrific. Easy to play and great projection. Unfortunately I can’t buy them where I am so I’ve ordered some from Elderly Instruments at $6.30. I live overseas so it will probably be a week or so before I can report on how they perform on the Martin.
  5. I had a set of La Bella PB strings in the draw with the intention of trying them out one day so today was the day. I put them on my Advanced Jumbo LC and wow what a surprise!! Beautifully balanced and clear with a nice warm sound. I’m not sure why my expectations were low regarding these strings and maybe that’s the reason they sound so good to my ears. I’m very keen to see how they last and maintain over the next few weeks. I’m off to buy another set to see how they sound on the Martin. Anyone else have experience with these strings?

  7. Thanks everyone. Mine came with the LR Baggs Element which I have since removed. It came with the regular gold coloured pamphlet and warranty card but no COA. Its of no real consequence but I was just interested to see what was included on the certificate.
  8. Hi everyone, This is my first post. I was fortunate enough to purchase a 20th Anniversary Luthier’s Choice Advanced Jumbo just recently and have not been able to get very much information on that model. I know Gibson only made 20 so I'm hoping that someone on the forum can perhaps share either information, experiences or thoughts. It came with the LR Baggs Element system and I am wondering if the 20 all had this factory installed unit. Also, does anyone have a copy of the official certificate that I could look at as mine went missing? Just interested to see whats on it. Cheers Frank
