  1. Welcome Bubba. Lots of knowledge around here. I'm sure you can find the answers to any questions. Post a photo of the SG if you can. Good luck bringing it back.
  2. It's a shame his legacy, and fortune getting squandered away.
  3. He produced Dweezil and Moon. I believe a lot of their current problems was because his estate wasn't managed well. He passed a long time ago, and probably thought he had plenty of time. Aren't the kids fighting among themselves? Two against two?
  4. Just think...if he would've made music worth listening to, he would have more money πŸ˜„
  5. And I hear he doesn't buy a lot of painkillers anymore! He does tour with his band. He has assembled a few fine musicians....Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Mike Wanchic, Tom Bukovac, Kenny Aronoff.
  6. I agree about the clown part, but I think you left out he bitter part.
  7. Don't worry Slash, he turns on all the new guys. Probably why there aren't any.
  8. You need to release the pressure from that vice that you put your b*lls in!
  9. How about a guitar skills competition? Fastest pentatonic scale😁

I know πŸ˜„The days of doing it for the satisfaction or pride is over. Everybody is greedy nowadays.
  11. So the body is so snug that it does't let the neck move? I guess it's ok to use as a storage case, but I'm not so sure I would take it anywhere, I would worry, especially with a high dollar guitar like a Gibson. Can you return it?

No offense taken. I know what you mean. I like fresh clean new things also. But I can appreciate that distressed look in some items. Distressed floors in a home, that old barn siding in your basement that looks 200 years old, it can have a spectacular look. I'm with you on the chipped up guitars though, and I don't like old beat up furniture either. I hate it when my car gets scratched. On a guitar, I like the worn look better than the beat up distressed look. Like Willy Nelson's old acoustic, it's worn all the way through. Now if Martin tried to copy that, I think it would seem cheesy, they're just doing it for the money.

Some guitars take years to get that patina, those instantly have that look!
  14. That's a sweet looking guitar.
  15. I could build you a house with that tool!
  16. I think the fact that the Beatles still sell their music and we still hear them in public and in commercials says that they still hold up. It like that for a lot of old classics, It seems like I hear Buddy Holly's music a lot in commercials. I always thought it would be cool if someone re-recorded Holly's music, as long as it was done tastefully.
  17. Im a contractor so I carry a truckload of tools. I'm always fixing something!
  18. She does have good taste in guitars πŸ˜„
  19. No need for a rear pick guard, the rash creates a patina, or relic. I hear that it's popular these days.
  20. The Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has a massive collection of old instruments. He paid 4 mill for David Gilmour's Strat. He has Ringo's first kit, Jerry Garcia's Tiger. It's all worth over 1 billion.
  21. Welcome. No Stairway πŸ˜„
