  1. Agree with synchronicity... can't say that about back in black. Hells Bells, Rock n Roll aint Noise Pollution, and a bunch of good ol ACDC rock filler. Favorite quote I heard from that band... at some point in time someone said they made 12 albums that all sound the same, they replied back angrily, it was 13!
  2. I don't remember deodorant being a big part of the dead shows i went to... but there definitely was an opportunity for use.
  3. I'll give them their due for being killer musicians, but I saw them back in mid 80s, and most impressionable thing about the show was the pink jump suit the guy from the opening act was wearing... can't remember a song that was played.
  4. I liked Roger Waters best when he was with David Gilmore... and vice versa. They're both good - IMO they were better together. Saw Pink Floyd at the Patriots Football stadium in 86/87... that was a memorable show - not sure if it was best, but it was up there. Giant Pig flying across the stadium... and everyone else saw it that time - what's not to love.
  5. Ah thanks agreed. The magic will come, I love the magic... the calmness a guitar can bring, then playing something you feel was super cool, to the point you really want to share it with someone - that's what I"m going for. But also, because of my arm, Instead of busting my *** with a home landscaping job - I'm watching a group of 4 people remove a patch of grass and level out a portion of ground for a little above ground pool. Something that would've taken me 3 weeks and not been done as good will be done in 1/2 a day... while I'm sipping a beverage with ice, being entertained watching what they do. Just took a bunch of aspirin, if my arm stops hurting I'll go play the guitar for them, I'm sure they'll love that.
  6. Picked up a guitar for the first time in 2 months (giving a sore arm a rest). Lot's of rust, little magic, arm hurts a little, not horrible - ice for now, maybe give it another go later today. Gotta find that guitar magic...
  7. Tom, this is really cool - thank you for doing this. I'd be interested in any that you do, but would love to hear something on the 49 cf-100... haven't heard much on those, and always been intrigued. FWIW - I also like A/B comparisons... A/Bs of true vintage guitars would be special.
  8. Waiting for an accompanying NGD thread... not should you do it, it's how quick can you do it?
  9. what he said. It's not a bad one, can be fixed pretty easily... by someone competent
  10. A couple places had live music over the weekend. solo acoustic acts for places with outdoor seating... requiring reservations and all that comes with right now, but it was live music. Baby steps.
  11. I know KB... it's gotta be because you want to do it, not because you want / need money, not in these parts anyways.
  12. Nice - will put that one on the list.
  13. Watched CBGB last night. Cool documentary... cameos from Ramones, Blondie, Dead Boys, Iggy Pop... was cool to here the story of Hilly Kristal and start of punk.
  14. Blue on black, sweeeeet. So KWS in Boston back in 2000 ish, and loved that song ever since. What guitar are you using?
  15. Alright, i can't say i'm a nylon fan, but from a haters view - that was good! The pictures worked very well with it, nicely done.
  16. A nylon string guitar is far down the list of wants. What do you feel it brings to the table that everyone should have one?
  17. Gotta have one in my pocket at all times. the cruxt of my issues.
  18. I agree, the cost of $35 pick pales compares to other upgrade options. Most other upgrades are attached to the guitar though, or big enough where I'm not likely to lose them. I did ask for a set of 5 of the BC's for father's day... so I wont fret about losing the first few anyways.
