Lol - I joined the forum looking for a cutaway bird. I posted a few things listened to feedback played a few examples and am now in the anti cutaway family. Tell him to join the forum, post a few questions, listen to feedback, try some examples - and then he can get a proper SJ200. :) But to tell the truth, I bet an SJ200 w/ a cutaway is still awesome... just not as awesome!

To me, new strings have that weird metallic sound until you play it out of them over a couple days...

Hi KSD - i'm assuming the truss rod adjustment would raise the string height a bit, hence the comment about 'a tish tougher to play' but how would this help with the tone? Rgds - billroy

Just an open mic, but I'll pretend I'm playing with the big boys... I'm north of 50 and this was my second open mic ever - and I rocked it! Got the toes tappin with 'Blister in the sun', a little more swaying with Tom Petty's 'Mary Janes Last Dance' and brought the house down with an original 'Had a run in with a POS today'. Got invited to a couple other open mics, and with comments like, wow that was loud, and nice shirt - I'd say it was an overwhelming success!
