  1. BK - do you feel short vs long scale makes a difference when playing slide? Thx - UF
  2. Very cool that it arrived - now go finish your chores so we can get a proper review!
  3. Congrats on the wedding dub - the honeymoon period is great! With respect to the frets - couldn't you just press them in without gluing, i thought they had barbs?
  4. Thanks all - I'll check out the used sg case first, see what I can find. All good points though. Since it's limited use, I'm not really worried about it being stolen, so will let my vanity drive and get the Gibson over Epi. JVI - on the bag, I think they are getting better, but have heard they are a luthiers best friend.
  5. What did I do today... dusted off the SG, put into drop D and rocked out through the blues jr. guitar bliss.
  6. Hi all - I need to get a case for my SG, it will be for just a little bit of usage, (occasional trip to the luthier, and the rare electric jam session) so don't need to go all bombproof, but something decent would be good. Does anyone have recomendations? Rgds - Uncle Fester
  7. A couple jokes by spider john koerner....

  12. I pick an LP of some flavor, leaning towards something w P90s
  13. that looks like 'good ol, back in the day fun!'
  14. Folks - if i wanted a guitar dedicated to open tunings and slide (not strictly slide, but some slide) what do you look for. I guess for slide it's higher action, but anything else, and for open tunings are there things you'd look for (i.e. short vs long scale, bassier or more balanced sound?) Thanks for any input - rgds - UF
  15. He seems to force the rock star persona, with the way he poses up on stage etc.... IMO Still wish I had a 10th of his skills. And a few of his guitars.
  16. I should like the guy - he can definitely rock a guitar, but just doesn't do it for me.
  17. Hey Tom, What's the purpose of that sleeve you wear on your strumming arms some time? Is it to protect the guiars, or other reasons? Rgds - br
  18. Dub - looks awesome. How did you do the cut right at the top center of the headstock? Have you already picked the electronics to go with this bad boy - what p'ups?
  19. Hey Rabs - is the blues jr too big for what you're looking at? Good luck w/ the guitar - just because you make guitars doesn't mean you can't enjoy something built by someone else.
