  1. I have seen early 50's original Les Paul TV DC's going for around $35,000, but this one is a Les Paul DC Junior in in TV Yellow not the actual Les Paul TV Model. This DC Junior does appear to be in very nice playing condition...
  2. This is why........................................................................................................................................but for a $11,500
  3. I listened to the whole thing with new Yamaha Instrument Headphones, they sounded very similar, but the OC75 seemed to be smoother specially on the high end. Also noticed, if you look very closely at each image, that it looks to me like the OC75 Volume is set higher. Is this an analog device or digital?
  4. Been a Yetro fan since around the time "Stand UP" came out, my impression was of a Pied Piper type dude skipping across a meadow playing for his own enjoyment. From my experience with a classicaly trained flutist in fusion band, I was in, who had a really hard time improvising, I would prefer jamming with one that has something like a jazz improv background, maybe...This was great, loved the videos... And Redheads...
  5. "See" with Jason Mamoa, about survivors of a plague that leaves them blind..
  6. Yep, all well known from the time, actually spent a fair amount of time at the Palomino club as our singer was a bit country. Didn't venture into San Bernardino much, liked to stay closer to the coast like the Rendezvous Ballroom or in Huntington with the Golden Bear or the Salt Cellar and Carnaby Street at the pier. But back on the strip the Hullabaloo with the old rotating stage that constantly shorted out, the Whiskey was kind of rowdy. I liked spending time in an old beatnik place called The Fifth Estate. This whole area had tons of dive bars and lounges that you may never have heard of that paid pretty regularly for entertainment. The mid sixties, the strip was so crowded with people searching for the experience and so was I. Glad to hear you got to enjoy it too.
  7. the new Epi Double Cut no-chambers, but the DC Pro does come in Wild Ivy..
  8. That was a great time,,,,,,,, I saw some of those bands up close, from stage side.
  9. Started going to Griffith Park when I was pretty young first time, in 55 I think, living not o far away in La Cañada. Living in the Canyon in 67, then moved to North Hollywood. I was a beginner in a Blues band at the time, doing after hours shows around LA.. ...grammatical correction...
  10. Because nothing is absolute a new Les Paul Special Tribute w/Humbuckers and a Wraparound Bridge. And its stable mate a Les Paul Special Tribute w/P90's and a Wraparound Bridge.
  11. First concert was a Love In at Griffith Park, I had a really good time, but I don't remember who played. Weirdest was playing a 3 day concert in Manipur at the base of the Himalayas. Manipur had just been annexed by India at the time causing a lot of unrest in the area, so we always had an armed guard with us carrying an AK47. In the mountains around us there were armed resistance gorillas who had a good view of our stage. This took place during the Moon Festival which went on for days, but when we played we were the loudest thing for miles.. The first thing I nailed was "Gloria" or "The Last Time"..
  12. So does that include old guys with a new album, or just new players with a new release?
  13. What's the dividing line between old and new?
  14. Try inserting a standard sized crosstip screwdriver into the bushing, wobbling and rotating slowly, continuing as you see it start to move and it will come out easily.
  15. I think using the wraparound bridge is partly a retro thing, because first solid body Gibsons used non-compensated wraparound bridges. There is a tone thing that happens with P90's when the strings are wrapped around a solid piece metal and works quite well. The compensated wraparound bridge appeared sometime in the 60's, then the 70's saw the adjustable BadAss. The Jr style guitars were inexpensive usually costing just around a $100, when they were first released. So the higher end Gibsons started coming with TOM bridges in the mid 50's, for the players requiring finer intonation. But the Jrs sound of P90's and a wraparound bridge helped launch the Southern Rock sound and later Punk players like Billy Joe. Note that Gibson has offered Jr style (and Specials) guitars with TOM bridges, at different times. Also note that Gibsons with humbuckers rarely ever came with wraparound bridges, tying them to the P90.
  16. Over the last few years I have sold several Gibsons, each of which had to be restored to as close to original as possible to get a fair market value. Surprisingly most important was original plastic, followed by original "style" of Bridge and Tuners. In the 80's I acquired what I believed was a modified 66 SG Jr with the same Tremolo. In the 90's I started searching for LP DC Jrs and SG Jrs, finding that a lot SG Jrs had been modified with tremolos while keeping the wraparound bridge. Anyway this mod didn't seem to effect the asking price as the SG Jrs were very popular and in limited supply. 60s era SG Jrs can sell from 1.5k up to 6k, yours with electronics mods could be somewhere in the middle depending on condition. Possibly run an eBay add high at about 3k and see what happens. I am not an expert, but I have been tracking these for a while. I did see one sell recently on craigslist for 3.5k on Oahu. Also seen some fakes here with 60s SN's, make sure its real.. The pickguard doesn't look quite right...
  17. I'm goin off the rails on a crazy train, keeps playing over and over and over and over and over in my head......
  18. I'm not Brad but, I use a basic Trio, there is also the Trio + with more functions. The Trio is easy to use, just play a few bars, it will translate into percussion and bass.
  19. one of the most iconic sword fights in movies..
  20. I have been hearing that in NY they are finding a very high number of untracked shut-in deaths, at east as many as have been officially reported.
  21. I wonder if there is a way to calculate the number of unreported infections there are?
  22. The Oxford Vaccine already in production, latest news says it should be ready in July.
  23. Interesting, Non-Meat Eaters are said to be easier to control, hmmm, could be the plan...
