  1. Thanks for the congrats, brother. Just got home from the hospital today. Pretty amazing.

  2. I always thought the Woolly Mammoth was a bass fuzz. It's a pretty meaty, eh?

If the Klon doesn't happen, can I have you build me a SHO clone?

  3. Klon, eh? Please keep me posted. I would throw down some cash for a good Klon klone. The originals I have heard demos of, you can tell it's not true bypass. You gonna change that?

You know my main man Lee "Lee is Free" Ranaldo rocks one on his board.

  4. We are friends now. Rock!

  5. Back from vacation, but my mind is not. Did miss my SGs a lot, though.

  6. On my vacation I relaxed a lot, drank some beers, bbq'd, swam in Lake Huron, and made a few side trips to Detroit. If you're ever in the thumb of MI, make sure you drive up M25 to Port Austin. Amazing beauty for sure.

  7. Sorry I missed your post. Was out of town all week in rural MI. No internet. Pretty relaxing.

  8. Yes, plz send me any new recordings you have. I still need to send you that song with the freak out noise at the end. It will take you to magical places.

  9. btw how are your recordings coming along? My band just added a bass player so I am hoping to get a proper demo recorded in Sept.

  10. I will let you know about the SHO & the Bender clones in a week or two. Hopefully I'll have my Sheraton sold and have a little extra $$ for some new toys. Also heading out of town for a much needed vacation. Spotty to no internet access for a week. Can't wait.

  11. Thanks for the tip on the lowfi 616.

RE: Light Bender - I like it. Could be our signature sound.

  12. So your handle is not the phonetic alphabet?
  13. I love it; the feel and sound of her. P-90s are some tasty pickups (if a bit noisy). I do have this monster urge to play Who songs on it ;) Cannot wait to get a Bigsby on and get the nut right. I installed an old, pre-cut nut for 11s and I didn't put it on perfectly straight so if I am not careful I can bend the bottom string off the fretboard.

How is your P-90 installation c...

  14. RE: Malekko LoFi - Oh, man. That is one killer pedal. Will be coming into some cash when I sell my Sheraton. Half of it pays for my SG Classic and the rest is to put a Bigsby on her and the rest for toys. Hmmm, might sell my Carbon Copy and get one of these beauties.

btw how did you get a discount?

  15. I used to think it was me or something small on the guitar (tuners, bridge, or nut), but the more I read on message boards the more I think it is a flaw in the SG's design, especially with the 61 reissue, related to the length of the neck and the neck joint. If you play hard like I do, you'll probably have tuning problems. My SG Special can be frustrating at times because the G string will go sharp after playing it hard and doing a lot of bends. My new SG Classic appears to be a lot more stable tuning wise. We'll see after I swap out the nut (cut for 11s) and do a setup.
  16. Had my last vocal lesson and feeling pretty good about where I am at singing wise.

  17. Singing well is hard. Allah, I suck. More practice!

  18. See you Tuesday night @ 7:45 for Church of the Sonic Guitar service?

  19. Blue Spark condenser mic is on its way

  20. Buying new mic(s) this spring. What to get?!! Tough decision.

  21. I really like my new P-94R. Warm and more articulate than that old 490R

  22. Thanks for the tip!

  23. Hey Sister - commented on your "Doesn't that mean that you'll end up hating yourself?" comment.

    Keep music EVIL!

  24. I am a recovering Catholic and was feeling kind of acidic the day I added that tag.

P90s are ace, but I am sold on the P94R. Sorry.

  25. The Bendingo Flight. I like it. Would be great for a crazier band like the Butthole Surfers or Thinking Fellers Union Local 282.
