epiphone sheraton II LH
apparently 2008
anyone know what size allen wrench to adjust the truss rod? apparently, I've never adjusted my casino or joe pass after they were set up because I have no wrench for them (assuming they have the same size truss rod) and my elitist LP has a completely different type of wrench...the ones I use for my acoustics (epiphone and yamaha) are too large...
thanks
(searched but could not find an answer that clarifies what size I need)

I just picked up a LH Sheraton for $300 with case...
0811212063
2008
November
Unsung, Korea
unit #2063
is that accurate based on the following?
YYMMFFRRRRR -- new model codes, no letter prefix
Beginning 2008-09 models are appearing w/o a letter prefix to i.d. the factory. Based on what is reported so far, it appears that the serial code may be:
YY = first two digits = year of manufacture
MM = second two digits = month of manufature
FF = third two digits = factory i.d. where made -- the factory code #s identified so far are shown in red print below
RRRRR = remaining digits = ranking number
-- example 08121520333 was made in December 2008, factory 15, 2 unknown significance, 0333 unit produced
[NOTE - pre 1993-94 productions also frequently omitted factory letter codes and appeared as all numbers e.g. 023849354 -- these are Asian made (Korea, Japan, Indonesia) but again the exact factory origin is not usually available from guitardater project or other sources.]
FACTORY NUMBER CODES -- for some models starting in 2008, if serial # begins w/numbers
[NOTE: The factories identified by these codes are based on patterns which forum members have observed. The numbers appear as the 5th and sixth digits in the serial number.]
11 = MIC sticker on a '08 Masterbuilt 500
12 = DeaWon or Unsung (China -- uncertainty remains as to which factory)
15 = Qingdao (China) -- electric
16 = Qingdao (China) -- acoustic
17 = China - factory unknown MIC sticker on a J160E
18 = China - factory unknown found on one 2009 model bass
20 = DaeWon or Unsung (China -- uncertainty remains as to which factory)
21 = Unsung, Korea
thanks

action @ 12th fret?
relief?
nut action?
has it ever been set up? many guitars come poorly set up from the factory or storage...
-
the monitors were very clear (gigantic HD) and it was easy to see there was no label, but I could not tell if the guitar was stamped...
-
I am almost positive that there is no label in the Martin he played yesterday and tonight...there might be a stamp, but I had several pretty good views inside and there was definitely not a paper label
great show...I was in section 324 tonight and the sound was excellent; crystal clear, well-rounded, and loud, with none of the reverb off the stadium I was getting in 17B last night (between home plate and the yankees dugout)...however, there was a half-second video delay that was a bit unsettling...I did not experience this last night, possibly because the lower level seats were getting more of the main mix, as opposed to the delay towers...anyway, the sound was fantastic tonight...not a big billy joel fan, but his singing and playing was quite good
even though the set lists are very similar, there were enough subtle differences in the playing and singing to make it a non-issue...while I agree that mixing it up would be great, it's not a problem for me when looking at the big picture
abbey road medley was superb!

I saw him play it tonight, as well as the texan...the HD monitors are pretty clear and I did see the texan's label (as well as several gibson ES labels), so I will look tomorrow night when I am there again...

I was going to suggest a red rubber grolsch washer; the rubber really grips even thin strap buttons and it is a cheap and delicious solution

how do you think this martin sounds:

-
ironically in the 2008 print catalog, which just appeared in my local shop...
I'd like one of these for LH conversion...

"I can see how they would fool the novice or beginning player. Hell, if I hadn't read so much on this and other forums, I would be hard pressed to tell real from fake. Unless you look at the SG with a Les Paul Custom TRC."
do you mean this:
http://www.guitarofchina.com/product_info.php?cPath=150&products_id=5711
because if so, gibson SG customs DO come with a Les Paul TRC...and 99% of the photos on that site are actual
gibsons from the MF site...

I thought you had to run two cables when running stereo?
