  2. I hear you. First time I saw it I thought it was goofy. The more I look at it though the less it bothers me. It’s « different ». Still, if I get it i’ll probably try to take it off and see if I can restore the finish over the screw holes. quote name='deeman' timestamp='1537883053' post='1955374'] Call me crazy but I sort of like the double pickguard look, gives it an angel wing sort of look. That being said, 90% chance there is something hiding under there, plus there are the screw holes there now too, so I think for that alone you should be able to knock off a couple hundred off the price.
  3. $1300. What do you think, assuming the damage is only cosmetic?
  4. Agreed. There are some fairly deep scratches near the input jack. Maybe the previous owner was covering up some major damage up there. Gonna see if the shop will let me see what's under the hood.... Thanks for the reply.
  5. I've been looking for pics of another SG like this, so far without success. Shop says it's a '74 but I think it may be '75 because the truss rod cover says "S-G" instead of "SG". That seems to be a '75 feature. Did someone just screw on a leftie pickguard above the pick ups? Or did Gibson actually make a few SGs like this with the double pick guards? Anyone ever seen one? Thanks!
