  1. It definitely takes some getting used to, but it isn't hard when you get the hang of it. It actually starts to feel natural after a while. The best advice I can give you is to just work on cover tunes that you know how they go. It will be much easier to play and sing along.
  2. Gorgeous guitar and nice, full Gibson sound. I love it!
  3. I'm going to have to look into the Humid Trak system. It seems like the way to go. If you are using any type of sponge system, I would just stress that you make sure to not overload the sponge. The last thing you want is dripping inside your guitar or case without you know it. Otherwise, these setups work well as long as you are diligent with them. Just try to keep the humidity around 50% and you will be fine.
  4. This is a surprisingly bad finish job. I tend to agree with some of the other people here. Recent guitar finishes leaving the factory are nothing to write home about.
  5. That's odd. Have you called Gibson about this? They must make a case that fits it. You could try to go down to your local Guitar Center with the guitar and just test fit the cases that they have. Just a thought.
  6. Out of work. Time to do some recording. :)

  7. I believe all P-90s are the same,so you shouldn't have any issues with matching. They should sound nice on the mahogany body. They should really warm up without having a maple top.
  8. The Gibson store has just about everything you should need. https://store.gibson.com/hardware/
  9. I've tried them on one of my older guitars. The hardware is pretty nice quality. I had never used the Bourne pots before this, but I actually really like them. I also think the classic cloth covered wiring is a nice touch and throwback to old school guitars. I like mine. Give us an update if you end up getting it. I'd be interested to hear what you think.
  10. It really depends how you play, what strings you use, and how you hold your pick. Your best bet is to just get a pack of them and test them out.
