  1. hmm. very hight price on that site 59,95 € for only one Gen II RoboHead, I have to solve this in another way 59,95 €
  2. I like the quick change between different tunings that are handled with the knob on LPX ;)
  3. My LPX is not abel to tune e1 string, it sounds like the inside parts is broken, a guy on youtube disassembled one and it was not made of the best material, is it possible so find spare parts or does gibson have a policy of replacing them by goodwill 🙂
  4. i contacted Gibson but they did not have any G-node for sale so i think it is only used like on ebay, any G-node fits any Gibson FBX and LPX
  5. I have no one that can repair the G-node, if i hade i would do it 🙂
  6. i had a problem with the first G-node and tested another and that one worked, så that was my problem as i write about in the beginning of this thread, the first one was some kind of circuit failure
  7. I have the LPX but it works the same, i installed the 2.16a and 2.14 from Gibson, then plugged in LPX with the stereo cabel to the G-node and G-node to computer USB and if the G-node is functioning as it should it will find your FBX, (fully charged battery in FBX and power to the G-node from USB cable and i also hade a fully charged battery in the G-node for sure) http://es.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-USA/LPX.aspx Version Type (pdf) 1.3h Manual 1.2b Quickstart 1.0b Editor Manual 1.0a Editor Quickstart 2.16a G-Node Audio Interface Version Type (executables) 2.14 Editor Setup - Windows 2.14 Editor Setup - MAC 2.16 Editor Setup - Windows *Important, please read 2.16 Editor Setup - MAC *Important, please read N/A G-Node and FBX Editor Patch - Windows 8.1 *Important, please read
  8. I found som ifo about mop on mylespaul.com, i dont know if its correct. "Standard" LP/SG: '52 - '67 = Celluloid Nitrate (MOP on Customs) '68 - '89 = Perloid (The same material used for pickguards; MOP for Customs/Anniversary models) '90 - Current = Figured Acrylic/Plastic/MOP/Abalone Customs/Supremes: Starting in or around '07, Gibson started substituting figured acrylic for MOP, and some, not all Customs have recieved these inlays instead. AFIAK, Supremes still get MOP.
  9. If use a flashlight on the inlays in my LP58 and compare light effects with the headstock logo that's exactly the same schimmer with a swirly effect and the same on my smoke damaged SG91 but also on the dotinlays on my ES125T but they are probably made of Cellulose celuloid because i can see a small pit in the middle as if they have fallen in or shrunk. And i checked my LPX 2013 and it is as swirley as my other gibsoninlays and these ar acrylic according to specs on gibson.com
  10. I found this on gibson.com The trapezoid inlays are found on many Gibsons, including the Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue. In most cases these inlays are made of an acrylic material with a swirly, figured effect, although in the case of - are Cellulose, in line with the material used on the original instruments from the 1950s. and Gibson Master Luthier Jim DeCola explained to Premier Guitar in October 2012. "We'll use acrylic, we'll use plastics and sometimes wood top dots and the inlays.
  11. I have a connection problem with G-node interface breakout box! I installed the FBX editor 2.14 and the G-node driver in win7 The program finds the G-node but cant detect the guitar! When i plug in my LPX and strum there are no sound and no indication on the led on the G-node, BUT when i touch the strings or metal on the guitar there is sound and the LED lights upp, is it a ground problem in the G-node or some kind of component failure? AD failure? I installed G-node in three computors Win7 with 2,14 and 2,16 and Win8,1 and Win10 with uppdates and file replacments but still the same, computer finds G-node but not the guitar. The guitar works fine in any AMP and i am happy with that but it's strange it did not work with the Gnode on any computer, i tried grounded and original with no ground, do you have any idea of what it is, did you have same problem? I really want to use the G-node and the program and edit varitone and some sounds and effects in the guitar :)
