It's a shame we in the USA have degenerated from a reasonably civilized nation to a barbarian one.

In a civilized country we actually like being nice to one another.

I blame FOX and right plus MSNBC and left for manipulating the population with the tried and true methods of fear and anger. A divided nation is easy to rule, and while we are fighting among ourselves, the plutocrats are laughing all the way to the bank.

I see the problem, but don't know how to fix it.

The guy's proper response would have been to apologize and move to his side of the line. That would have been the civilized way to act.

I heartily agree.  Someone much more clever than I (perhaps someone else on the Forum here?) once said, "We can't have civilization without civility."

  2. nickh90, I think I understand your plight.  I've got 4 or 5 guitars, any of which is my "forever" guitar depending on my mood, what music I'm into at the moment, which of my "forever" amps I'm playing through at the time, etc., etc., etc.  As jdgm suggested, one can over-think this.  Good luck and welcome to the forum.

J.J.  is working on "iconic" status - give her another decade.

I saw Joan and the Blackhearts as openers for Plant (Now and Zen tour) in El Paso in the late '80s.  She's definitely iconic.

I have been reading about this redesigned Epiphone SG Classic P90, the body is two pieces of mahogany with no veneer, a 60's SlimTaper neck, the 50's Headstock, cast Kluson style Epiphone Deluxe tuners with Threaded Bushings and Ivory Buttons, P90 Pro's, full size CTS pots no circuit board, ABR Bridge and Stopbar. Anyway I couldn't resist for $379 with free shipping from the MusicZoo. I am adjusting the trussrod a little and intonation. I may have to install a Les Trem II.

A longer neck trunnion with the strap button moved much farther forward now, like current Gibson SG's and much improved Neck Dive. Epiphone finally fixed it on a few SG models.

    Very nice.

    Leon McAuliffe, most likely.

If they used Bob's players, and not movie extras.
    ....

    😀

Bob and the band appeared in a dozen or so movies.  A movie title and/or a date would be helpful.  Leon McAuliffe was mainly a steel guitar guy but he did play guitar as well.  I don't think he played with Bob much after the start of WWII.

3.CROSSROADS( Cream):  From the live "Wheels of fire" recording.   Many put this one on a "favorites" list.  And why not?   An excellent marriage of Blues emoting and rock sizzle.

    ...

    6. SULTANS OF SWING(Dire Straits): That solo by Knopfler that takes us out of there is about the best finger picking on an electric guitar in a rock tune I can think of.   Chet Atkins truly an influence on Mark.

Two of my favorites as well.
