  1. He can’t leave a review, the sale was done privately via PayPal friends and family. I will let him return, will probably not take the whole 10% fee as I said on the reverb policy, but will definitely take some.
  2. I will take the guitar back if he wants to send but am really thinking about getting the re-stocking fee. I will leave up to him!
  3. I advertised on reverb but did the deal directly via PayPal friends and family.
  4. Need your opinion here. I sold a guitar - perfect condition as all my guitars. The buyer received the guitar and found the string (D string) to be "dull" and he didn't know how to change strings and want to return the guitar to me. I asked to take to a shop and ask them to change the strings, he said "he went to the shop and the shop said turn around time to change the string is one week." I asked him to get into a zoom call with me and I would teach him how to change the string, he said no - "I am not comfortable changing strings. The guitar is not as advertised!" Now, here I am thinking this guy just wanted to check out / try the guitar, maybe buyer remorse... I am not sure.... I am really mad with the situation. What say you?
  5. The more I look around for information on this guitar, video clips and reviews, the more I get excited. I find interesting the value of the guitar (in $$). The price of this guitar is a few hundreds more than the HB original, and yet the upgrades to me are worth much more - I.e baked top, advanced scallop, hide glue, and the electronics. The electronic itself would bring the price close between the two. Also, when comparing the the HB 1960 reissue the main difference is on the hand rubbing and the price jumps considerably. I am still waiting to get mine, but if it aligns with the specs on paper abs what I see online I believe this is probably one of the best values on Gibson acoustics.
  6. Looks like an awesome strummer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMZY-2khULM
  7. I believe you have to pay to play. Yes, a great guitar player can make a "bad" guitar sound great, BUT it takes skills todo so. I great guitar is very joyful to play, it sounds good, it plays well, and looks good too. I am not into the battle of the brands - Gibson, Martin, Taylor...they are all great and appeal to different audience. For the music I like, I am happier playing a Gibson guitar. I am sure Bluegrass players will not feel the same way and would rather go for the Martin guitars with the bigger bass which is what they usually look for.
  8. I hope so... I just ordered the Crow to make company to my HB :).
  9. Just bought one today.... now the wait begins 🙂
  10. I have not checked. But I will tell you everything on this guitar just feels right, it is an amazing experience playing it.
  11. thanks guys, really thinking about getting one but I don't want to be the same as my hbird... a little difference would be nice 🙂
  12. Have you played them both? If so, any differences you can call out? Also, are these two guitars the same size? Thanks all!

No, unfortunately. Although I don't remember the first being as light as the second.
  14. My preference is Bird then J45
  15. Very nice. I think this guitar is gorgeous. I would definitely consider if it wasn't for the price.
  16. Very nice Sal... looking forward to your comments/review...

I had a 000-28EC for a day and it was an incredible guitar. I have had other 000-28 Custom shop with red spruce, etc... but the EC is on a league of its own IMO.

Here is the one I had 2 years ago (2019 Vintage)...also great, and regret selling it. The problem to me is I get sore playing dreads for too long....
  20. Congrats OP, I love rosewood back and sides. May that guitar bring you and yours lots of joy!
