  1. So I got an email from Fender this morning introducing the "Limited Edition Cabronita Telecaster". Pretty different and a lot of stuff that doesn't seem very Tele like to me. It has Alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Two TV Jones humbuckers, a three way switch and volume control (no tone). It comes in three finishes, a gold, a blue and a butterscotch. It does have edge binding on the body but the blue and gold one are only painted on the front, the backs are natural. The butterscotch looks the same front and back. I'll try to attach a link.https://shop.fender.com/en-US/electric-guitars/telecaster/limited-edition-cabronita-telecaster/0170148778.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20200 Just wondering what anyone else thought about it. Does include a hard case and only $1900 😱
  2. Ok so not sure if this is the right area for this post since this isnt a Gibson amplifier ( General discussion may be more appropriate) but I found a 1991 USA made Fender Hot rod DeVille tube amp for sale locally along with a MIM wine red Strat at a good price. Its almost a 2 hour drive from me and I dont know much about tube amps😬 so I’m kinda out of my league (Ive been acoustic only since I’ve started playing). Its has new tubes and a new front cloth but otherwise all original. I assume replacing the tubes is a normal maintenance thing but IDK. The cab is in a little rough shape but its supposed to function perfectly with no problems, and the guy sounds honest enough (does that even matter these days?). Anything specific I should look out for or are these amp duds? Im looking at paying $425 for the amp and guitar which seems very fair to me, but I’m no expert on amps. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
  3. Fender just announced a new Vintera series to replace the classic series, looks cool but some of the prices have went up it seems. I just bought a new blonde Baja tele a few weeks ago but it has some issues so Im sending it back and getting another, but now Im wondering if I should just get the 50’s Modified tele which is the same guitar (it seems) but with some cool new color options. Its also like $70.00 more than the baja, though. I guess I should be joining the Telecaster forum to post this but I like the gibson one better 😋
