Is there a list of Gibson Reissues that have the 1 9/16" Nut? I've only played one like this, and it was n original mid 60s SG. The neck profile was also significantly smaller than anything I've played by Gibson. It was probably the best feeling guitar I've ever come across, but it was the price of a used car and I pretty much had to pull off a Jedi mind trick to get the guy at guitar center to remove it from behind what I assume was bullet proof glass. I'm guessing I'd have a bit better luck affording a reissue. I'm interested in any model with this nut width. Thanks
Gibson CS 60th Anniversary 1957 Les Paul Standard Reissue Gloss Gold Top. Guitar is in perfect shape, comes with all the case candy and the vintage spec case of course. $3700 is fair, the cheapest I have found this particular guitar is $4400, and it keeps going up in value. One of 60 made for the 60th Anniversary of the original 57 gold top. Let me know if this is not the place to post. Thanks. Located in New Jersey.
Hey folks; I have an SG ‘61 Reissue that I was fortunate enough to have signed by Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi. To make a long, sad story short, my old college roommate kicked it over while on a stand. It cracked the finish on the body right below the tone knobs and around the side and back (he caught it before it toppled over and hit the neck or headstock on the floor). This happened about 4 years ago, and I just recently noticed some small cracks in the finish where the cream binding goes down the fretboard on the neck. So, it’s time to bite the bullet and have it fixed. My question to anyone who has had experience with this: how much do you think Gibson will charge to fix these cracks? The pictures show the damage on the body and now the neck... as well as one of Derek’s signature 😛
