  1. Hi! I just noticed that the quality control paper has a different serial no. than my gibson guitar. It is the same model and the serial no. thats in the quality control paper is for a gibson that was made one day after mine. Is this normal?
  2. Hello people, Recently came across a used Black Beauty Es335. I'm attaching some pictures and would honestly like your take on it? Getting it for a fraction of the price (close to a 1500$) as the owner is shifting to another country and is in a hurry. Hoping to get my hands on it but was hoping to get your take on whether this is a worthwhile investment. Here's a link to the pictures, had to use an external source since my attachment limit here has finished. https://imgur.com/a/411sFDq Thanks a ton in advance.
  3. Hi, My neighbor sold me an old Goldtop Les Paul that he had sitting around in a closet for decades. He says he bought it for his son-in-law in the 80's, but the kid never played it. Serial number is printed on headstock "3 0181". The paperwork that came with it says model 3-0181, Lot 3153. Les Paul Standard HG Reissue. (photo attached.) I've attached photos including the pots attached to the nobs inside the body. When was this made? Thank you for helping me!
  4. Hello community, I need your precious help to identify this epiphone guitar which i found in the basement of my granddad's house who recently passed away. Sadly, i found it pretty hard to find out anything, since the serialnumber is missing (see Picture 3). Here are some characteristics of the guitar (there might be some wrong lingo - sorry about that): 1. So, i've done some research and apparently Guitars made in Korea in the early 90s, the serialnumbers were placed on the back of the head with a sticker instead of engraving, which might be the case for this guitar also. there is
  5. Hoping ya'll can help me out decoding my serial number. Looks like it was originally 11 numbers then was ground down to 8. Bought this second hand 10 years ago. Why would it be ground down? And did I get got by a fake? It also has a "hand made in china" sticker...is that legit? Thanks!
  6. Hi! I traded my ibanez for a flying V a few years ago and I'm a little curious to what it is. I says made in USA and has a the following serial: 03121510. I would post a pic, but its to large to upload =( Cheers!
