M1ke
anyone know anything about an "ft-130" maple guitar?
zombywoof
Not much other than they were made in Japan for six or seven years during the 1970s. I think the first ones were made around 1973.
TommyK
Early to mid 70's is correct. Built in Japan. "Maple" FT-130? Never seen one of those. Probably a later, Norlin era, FT build. I'd love to see pics. Make sure to get a clean shot of the inside-the-sound hole label. Norlin may have had the weak neck block licked by then. TommyK
This appears, indeed, to be a late Norlin era FT135 like object. The redacted, the penciled in model number doesn't look OEM. But, FT135M seems to fit. Yummy.

Seeing the front of the guitar, mainly the fingerboard inlays and the rosette, would determine for sure what the model is.

Its just got the pearl dot inlays, double on 7th and 12th, nothing on 3rd.
