charlie brown Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Even though he used a Telecaster, sometimes, Mike Bloomfield and Eric Clapton, ARE the reason I wanted, and later purchased my first Les Paul! CB
Pin Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Even though he used a Telecaster, sometimes, Mike Bloomfield and Eric Clapton, ARE the reason I wanted, and later purchased my first Les Paul! CB Bloomfield was a big influence on me too. I love "Albert's Shuffle" and "Stop" from the Super Session album. Superb playing. I was very sad when I heard he had died so young.
jaxson50 Posted April 5, 2013 Author Posted April 5, 2013 Mike was a major influence for a lot of players who went on to be stars. One of my favorite records is the Super Sessions LP, but Cooper and Bloomfield left us a lot to enjoy, glad there is at least one other big fan here. Great minds and all that stuff,

charlie brown Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Yeah, I love a LOT of Mike's work...with The Butterfeild Blues Band, Bob Dylan, Super Session, Live At The Fillmore East, and The Electric Flag, etc. CB
