MorrisrownSal Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 If any of you are looking for a J45-TV, I advise trying this one. It is listed at $3499 - I am not sure what they will sell it for. It is the best J45TV I have ever played. If any of you are in the Boston area, I would love if you played it and shared your thoughts? I am wondering if it was the room, the strings, my imagination?... I have played a lot of True Vintage models - this one was real good.
57classic Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Sal, I'm not going in there. I can't be tempted right now! The IRS expects me to be a good boy on April 15 and I aim to oblige. Plus I just got an Eastman E6OM a couple of weeks ago.
62burst Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Always good to hear an " omg, you gotta check this one out" alert. But yes, it's no accident that guitars sound great in the GC high end room; all those sympathetic vibrations thanks to 30 or 40 guitars, coupled w/ the non-parallel walls, high ceilings, & rough- hewn wood paneling.
Red 333 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 That seems very pricey for a J-45 TV to me. I originally thought that maybe Sal saw a used J-45 Legend, but then I found that $3499(!) is the new MAP for the J-45 TV. All the big online sellers show it now. Red 333
Dave F Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 $4513 msrp Should be no problem getting it for $2700 if you think it's worth it.
MorrisrownSal Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 I already have a TV. It's a nice one and seh'll have to do. I did play another J45TV in a NJ five star dealer a few months back, and it sounded nothing like this one. Who knows maybe it was the environment this Boston one was in? Or maybe my brain.
Murph Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I might think about it if it was across the street from Wrigley......
