Twang Gang Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 My my how many things have gotten to be 40 years or more gone by. Oh well, as long as we still enjoy them, we're only as old as we feel.
jdgm Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Sorry but I immediately clicked on 'Hot Rock Daughters'...
milod Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 All kidding aside, when I see one of these "40 years ago" threads I kinda chuckle until it turns into a cough. To me, Led Z is "one of the new '70s groups." But then... heck, I was around 30 at the time and switched to playing the country/rock of the day in saloons 'stedda last week's new rock group's new top 20 material... <sigh> Kinda shows how age creeps up on you. Another, too, is that it seems the older I get, the more interest in some material that was recorded well before my birth, let alone awareness of what was playing on the radio or whatever... And from a lotta stuff I've seen from other folks once that light came on, I'd say that the famous folks in music almost inevitably go a similar route. m
Kaiser Bill Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I'm with you milod... my 50th class reunion is in 2 months. Been playin country on and off since '69. I can't believe what that has become. JMO (sigh)
