swampash Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 More wheeling and dealing this weekend in two days got me both of these beauties. On saturday I traded a mexican Strat for a nearly new Gretsch Electromatic Projet. A stunning Guitar. I used to own a Duojet and this is every bit as good. If all of Gretsch's lower cost Guitars are made to this standard then I'll be investing in more of them in the future. Then today I traded a 2011 Epiphone Casino 61' Reissue for this, a 1989 Takamine LTD Acoustic Guitar which was made in their own version of their custom shop. It's collected it's fair share of dings over the 24 years but it hasn't affected it's playability and I was sold 2 minutes after playing it.
zigzag Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Congrats on both counts. I think Gretsch is the best value out there, and I love their pickups. I love Takamines, too, but acoustics are so different from one guitar to the next.
Izzy Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Happy NGD!! That Takamine loos pretty well-loved and I like the mojo of it. The Gretch is damn near mint, very cool.
Rabs Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Congrats and happy playing Id love me one of those Takamine's. Awesome :)
