Targeted advertising my friend. I actually advertise my pedals via Facebook. They can hit only people who have chosen guitar as a hobby. Pretty amazing. Though I'm not selling fake Gibbies. [biggrin]

Yeah, on Facebook it's often necessary to "unfriend" the pages of people/things that interest you. The advertising is a real pain, but Facebook is free and they're going to make their money somewhere.

You'd think they wouldn't allow a site that sells fakes though...or am I delussional?

Notice the fake GC look-alike logo? [scared]

Actually, chances are that you have some ad-ware that is loading dodgy ads in place of the normal Facebook ads as FB do have fairly high standards for advertisers. Download ad-aware and do a scan.

So true RCT! You also remember when the web wasn't much more then forums and text page's?

I remember having the music conversations via "listserv".

Usenet newsgroups and Harmony Central Guitar Forum. Them were the days!

Yeah man, that was next step after newsgroups, getting couple dozen guitar players on a list.
