daveinspain Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 Now this is scary...Signed by Jimmy Page
surfpup Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Targeted advertising my friend. I actually advertise my pedals via Facebook. They can hit only people who have chosen guitar as a hobby. Pretty amazing. Though I'm not selling fake Gibbies.
Dave F Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 At those prices I think I'll order page one[biggrin]
quapman Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Stop "liking" things on facebook. I never do it. Not even to win a Gibson.
MissouriPicker Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Yeah, on Facebook it's often necessary to "unfriend" the pages of people/things that interest you. The advertising is a real pain, but Facebook is free and they're going to make their money somewhere.
Izzy Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 You'd think they wouldn't allow a site that sells fakes though...or am I delussional? Notice the fake GC look-alike logo?
matonanjin Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Ad-Block. Problem Solved. Looking into this! Thnks!
Guest Farnsbarns Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Actually, chances are that you have some ad-ware that is loading dodgy ads in place of the normal Facebook ads as FB do have fairly high standards for advertisers. Download ad-aware and do a scan.
rct Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Facebook is adware. When will you young'uns ever get it? rct
badbluesplayer Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 My wife knows exactly what I'm going to be lying about next just by looking at my sidebar!! [thumbup]
RaysEpiphone Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 So true RCT! You also remember when the web wasn't much more then forums and text page's?
surfpup Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 So true RCT! You also remember when the web wasn't much more then forums and text page's? I remember having the music conversations via "listserv".
rct Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 So true RCT! You also remember when the web wasn't much more then forums and text page's? Usenet newsgroups and Harmony Central Guitar Forum. Them were the days! rct
rct Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I remember having the music conversations via "listserv". Yeah man, that was next step after newsgroups, getting couple dozen guitar players on a list. rct
