cmedina Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I bought a Gibson Noveau in 1989 new. It is a beautiful guitar. I was wondering if anyone knew what it was made out of. I know what I paid for it,but what is a guitar like this worth? Just a guess will do thanks for any input.
BigKahune Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 . Not sure what the current value would be, but here's some info links - http://www.elderly.com/items/20U-8386.htm http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/845-gibson-nouveau/ http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/17582-gibson-nouveau-acoustic-help-with-information/ .

The dread-shaped flat-tops came in both mahogany and rosewood (models NV6 and NV6R, respectively). Dealers seem to ask around $500 for these, so I'd guess that you'd be looking at $300 to $400 if you were to sell as an individual. -- Bob R
